- Dec. 3rd, 2021 I had contacted Golden Auto Repairs about my car that had the engine light visible and was not accelerating. - Dec. 4 I had given them my 2009 ************ that I highly relied on as a student teacher and to get home to my disabled mother for the holidays. - Dec. 4 a call for 1 minute to get details. - Dec. 7 I had called to see if there was any new information this phone conversation lasted 2 minutes and I was given no new information. - Dec. 13 with no new information, I had called again this was a 3-minute conversation about how they were looking into it and that my car needed an alternator and was given an over the phone estimate of I believe $500 which I agreed too - December 18th I have a record of calling them again as this point I want to go home for the holidays since I had finished my placement - On December 20th I had picked up my car for a total of $577.43 split between my credit card ($500) and my debit ($77.43) which was between labour and an alternator. I had tried to leave to go home and my car would not accelerate having the same problem as before I took it back. - December 21st I received a call saying my car had been fixed once again. I paid another $242.95 and tried to drive home again and broke down once again with the same issue. - Dec. 22nd they sent me to a different mechanic with my car, not in working order. I drove 20km/h trying to get to the mechanic and a policeman pulled me over for driving too slow this was taken care of when I said my car would not go any faster and I was told that I should be able to get to the other mechanic with my four-ways on. He informed me this was not right and they should have offered a tow. They did not. - I made it home for the holidays with the help of a family friend and not my own car that had been worked on for almost a month. Got my car back to my hometown where I had to replace the parts they put in because they were no good. fixed it - They didn't fix my car, yet no compensation
