We received the van back after transmission issues and noticed the van got pretty hot then suddenly hear clicking from a relay from faulty radiator fan motor. A piece of ferrying has been wedged into the high speed fans and burnt out the fan motor and owner will not repair. It was their wrong doing. They blamed my mechanic and me and pay a disgnosing fee. I just want them to pay the shop of my choice and the part genuine Mopar product

      Business Response

      Date: 16/04/2024

In response to the letter we received on April 9, 2024 for the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, purchased with ******* km, we were notified that the transmission was acting up approximately a month after purchase.  We replaced the transmission at no expense to the customer even though our warranty is a 30 day 50/50 Powertrain warranty.  An extended warranty was offered at the time of purchase, however, it was declined by the customer.  Also, while the vehicle was being repaired, out of goodwill we provided the customer with a loaner vehicle which was returned to us damaged, requiring the door and fender to be repaired.  The cost of the damage done to the vehicle was approximately $1500 and was absorbed by Stormys.

Between the transmission replacement and the repairs to our loaner vehicle that you had that were all paid for by Stormys , which was over $6000, the customer contacts us a month after the replacement saying there was an issue with the fan which had nothing to do with the transmission work that was completed by Stormys.  There would have been a problem with the fan immediately after you received the vehicle back from being repaired.  Unfortunately, we have no control over something that *** have been picked up to cause the fan issue a month later.  Our sales manager in ******* offered to have Stormys look at it to see if there was something we could do or assist with, but the customer declined because of their location.

In conclusion, we feel Stormys has completed their due diligence with this matter.

      Thank You Kindly,

      Complaint: 21547415

I am rejecting this response because: I am really upset and angered by the lack of communication, respect and willingness to change the block cooling fans by the owner and salesman. In regards to this complaint I am demanding they repaired since their mechanic damaged them and burned up the motor and will not turn on

Yesterday the van overheated because of the fans not running. I am concerned about the head gasket being warped.

He have asked several times for them to replace by email text and phone calls and by a shop we will hire. The clear to see the fairing was wedged into it. It has been running hot since we got it back. They demanded that I pay for a DIAGNOSTIC which I should NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for. If the heads are warped or bent or continue to overheat they will be responsible for engine replacement as well.

And also in regards to transmission they failed to tell us the mileage when installed. Instead of a new trans they put in a wreckers transmission so the concern is the trans going out. It already slips at times and so this trans isn't good so I have to rebuild again. I'm highly disappointed by the unsupportive messages and failing to fix what they broke

I still have the piece that was wedged

      Sincerely,
