    I have been going to **** ******* at Mikes Tax Services for several years for assistance with my tax returns. Tax slips were provided for myself, spouse, and son to file for 2024. We were surprised to hear that my spouse owed this time around because in previous years he never did. Because we are not the tax experts, we asked Mr. ******* if he could provide an explanation of why there was money owing. Instead of giving an explanation or saying he didnt know, he became upset with us and said for us to go elsewhere, and that he couldnt work with clients that dont trust him. I apologized as I didnt not intend to offend him, just wanted some clarification. He said no, you can go elsewhere, Ill lose your documents. So thats what we did, we went elsewhere and had our taxes filed for 2024. Two days after we filed, I received a message from Mr. ******* with comments about our tax returns. Not only do I find this unprofessional but very concerning that he continues to have access to our personal information and is viewing it for his own personal use to make unnecessary comments. We certainly do not need him seeing highly sensitive information with *********************. Is there anything that can be done so he no longer has access to our information? He has a chip on his shoulder where we are concerned. I dont trust him having access to this information.

    This client has had problems paying for services, so when they accused me of NOT doing their taxes correctly I told them to go elsewhere. THEY were the ones that signed to have me as their "AUTHORIZED REPRESENTITIVE" with REVENUE CANADA - then when *** sent Me their Notice of Assessment and I saw that whoever did their taxes (don't really care who it was-hopefully they are licensed (required by CRA law) and got paid) did them wrong, I was nice enough to inform them they were done WRONG and they paid MORE in Taxes than they should have. If they are not bright enough to get them fixed, that says a LOT. I am *** authorized and THEY can sign into THIER account and remove me at any time.

    I am also the ONLY ********** in ****** right now that has been assigned their own *** AGENT to deal with and issues my clients have which goes to show how RESPECTED I am with *** and ************** of Canada

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Mr. ******** response certainly demonstrates how he treats his customers. There has never been an issue with payment. Payment has always been made for service. As I have said numerous times, I am a customer paying for a service, for which I can ask questions if necessary. At no time did I accuse Mr. ******* of anything, I simply asked for an explanation of why my husband owes ********************* as he hasnt in the past. I even apologized to let him know my question wasnt intended to be accusatory. He is the expert and providing a service so I thought it would be appropriate to ask the question. I understand consent was given for Mr. ******* to act as our representative but when he told us to go elsewhere, he should have been professional, and disregarded any information he had access to and refrained from sending messages to us about our tax return. Mr. ******* has the opinion that our tax return was done incorrectly, which is no business of his, but in fact it was done correctly. When we went elsewhere to file our tax return, we learned that Mr. ******* failed to advise us on numerous things including expenses we could have been claiming over the years. Correct me if Im wrong, but is that not part of the service Im paying for? Mr. ******** version of filing taxes is simply entering tax slips and collecting payment. There is no communication which is crucial because, as I said before, Im not a tax expert so I rely on the person filing on my behalf to explain the details or let me know who I can contact if they do not know. I placed my trust in Mr. ******* and now I have concerns whether my tax returns have been done correctly in the past. We are from a small community and people need to be aware of what may happen if they put their trust in Mr. ******* or if they make the mistake of asking a question. Youll be harassed with unwelcoming messages about issues that no long concern him.
