Sent an item for return, and it was stuck in transit. When i submitted a ticket about it I was told to wait and given a timeline. I submitted a new ticket later, but before their deadline and they told me its too late and they wont do anything about it. Shipping cost $20 for a small package and then they lost an $800 package.

Thank you for your recent Better Business Bureau submission. We are deeply sorry that your item as not arrived. Unfortunately, just like a return policy at a store Canada Post does have a Claims timeframe. Claims for Domestic items must be started within 90 days of the shipping date. Your claims for loss ticket was created on April 26 2025 which is over the 90 days. Item was mailed on December 17 2024, 90 days from this would have been March 17 2025 that the latest a claim could be opened. For more details on the claims policy and timeframe please see the link below. ***************************************************************************************************************** Should you wish to pursue a complaint with the Canada Post ***************** they would require your Service Ticket ********* documenting the issue from Canada Post. ********************************************************************************** you,Canada post *************

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable delay and mishandling of an expedited parcel I shipped on August 2nd, 2025 from the Rexall/Shoppers Drug Mart location on *******************************************************************************************,on I specifically paid for expedited shipping as the parcel was of urgent importance it was being sent to my brother so it could be delivered to OUR mum, inthe (ICU) I was advised that it would arrive no later than Friday, August 8th, 2025. Based on this information, I informed the receiever, that the item would be at the hospital on time.On August 8th, stating expected delivery, when I checked the tracking later on, I discovered that the parcel had not even left ******* and had been delayed until August 13th. This delay completely defeated the purpose of paying for expedited service. The situation was extremely distressing, as the recipient urgently needed the contents of the package by August 8th.The delay caused significant emotional stress for me and the family, given the critical health condition of the intended recipient. I also have concerns about the handling of the package in transit and whether it will arrive in acceptable condition.Despite paying additional charges for expedited shipping and not receiving the service I paid for I have not been offered a refund when i called, I am requesting the following:1. A full refund of the expedited shipping charges I paid.2. A review of this incident so that customers are not misled about delivery timeframes, especially in urgent medical situations.3. Confirmation of the packages current status and assurance of safe delivery. This matter is extremely important to me, not only because of the financial aspect but because of the impact this failure had on a critical medical situation. I trust that the Better Business Bureau will take this matter seriously and assist in resolving it.Thank you

I was expecting the delivery of my passport today and had been closely monitoring the status throughout the day. The system was showing that the parcel is out for delivery and will be delivered by the end of day. When the Canada Post person arrived at my building, I anticipated that they would bring the item directly to my unit, given the importance of the document and this is how it had to be done. That didn't happen. The truck simply left without any attempt to deliver to my door. I went downstairs to check my mail box and found a delivery notice instructing me to pick up the item on the next business day. It was a delivery notice for a delivery that even didnt happen. The Canada Post man didnt bother taking my mail out of his truck. Since the next business day falls after the Canada Day holiday, it means an additional delay. Now I have to wait for two days to chase my passport at some address where it will be dropped off at some point. Canada Post staff does not do their job. They don't deliver mail. They do not want to do their job: when I attempted to file a complaint with Canada Post, I couldnt do it because their website requires a service ticket which is impossible to obtain there. I then called customer service for assistance, but the representative informed me that their system was down and refused to provide a service ticket; ( he said that I do not need my passport today?!!!) or assist me in filing the complaint. His supervisor also refused to help. Around 5 pm I went my local Canada Post office. Of course, they didnt have my passport.Happy Canada Day from Canada Post way to go!

The solution was for them to start redirecting my mail to the post office because they refuse to place my package in my package box instead of crushed into a mail slot and no reimbursement or resolution happened, they told me to basically take it. So they contacted me yesterday, to tell me they won't be doing anything to resolve the issue. They still owe me nearly $1000 dollars in damages. So no. They are still scammers

Im extremely disappointed with Canada Posts ***************** I paid for this premium option with the clear expectation of fast and reliable delivery, as advertised. Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite. The package was not delivered by the promised date, and the tracking system continuously updated with generic "delayed" messages but no actual movement or meaningful information. Days passed without any progress, and the last update in the tracking history remained unchanged. What made this even worse was the complaint process. I submitted a formal complaint explaining the urgency of the delivery and the importance of the item arriving on time. However, my request was not handled in a timely or professional manner. There was no proper follow-up, no useful updates, and no sign that anyone was actively working to resolve the issue. It felt like my concern was simply ignored.I trusted the ******** service because it is marketed as the most efficient and fastest shipping option Canada Post offers. But this experience proved that paying extra does not guarantee better service. Not only was the delivery late, but the lack of customer support during the delay made the situation even more frustrating.Given this experience, I have lost confidence in Canada Post's ***************** I can no longer rely on it for important or time-sensitive deliveries, and I will not be using it again. A service that fails to meet its own basic standards and doesnt respect the urgency or needs of its customers is not one I can recommend. ********************** seriously needs to improve both its delivery execution and complaint resolution process.

My employer dispatched a package to me on November 18, 2024. Due to the **** strike I did not receive my package and waited patiently. This was a system that was being delivered to me to start work as I was going back to work from my maternity leave. I rely on this job to feed my 1 year old child. However, I waited patiently. On December 19, 2024, the tracking on Canada post is showing at delivered however, upon checking the mailbox I did not find the system. I raised a ticket with Canada Post. After 15 mins the ticket got resolved and I called back to Canada Post to tell them that the ticket is showing as resolved but I cannot find the package in the community mail box even now. The agent told me that the mail man delivered it to the wrong address and we are sending someone out again to look for it. After 1 hour it again showed as resolved but I still could not find the package in my mail box. Then I called again and they said that the mail man came to your mail box and has confirmed that the package is there (LOOK CLOSELY). I then took my husband with me to look, maybe I had lost my eye sight and could not see the package. However, both of us could not find the package. Then I called Canada Post again and told them that the package is still not there. They then responded to us stating that the package is now lost. Therefore, we asked them to change the status to lost as my employer wants proof that I did not get the package before sending a new one. Canada Post stated that they cannot do that as they are not sure that it is lost and that probably I am just not looking closely enough. I then went to the Canada post office located at ************************ ON. When me and my husband went there and we complained and asked the lady for help. She said she cannot do anything about it. Then she said "You are crazy people and if you do not leave I will call security and police and have you thrown out".

If you read my complaint you will see that is it about the behaviour of staff at the Canada post office and not any damage or claim. I guess you did not even give my complaint a proper reading before responding. No wonder the staff behaved in this way

Thank you for the follow up. Our apologies if our reply was not clear. We are very sorry that the parcel was not located by the depot and that we advised you to contact the sender to have them open a claim for lost item. In this case we have a delivered scan but the item was not received. Details were provided on how to advise the sender to start the process. As the sender paid for the shipping, they also are the ones who would be paid out for a lost item, thus why we explained how to have a claim started for your scanned delivered but not received item. Unfortunately, there is no scanning online that we would provide to say the item is lost. When the shipper of this item contacts us, a trace is opened for a missing item regardless of what the scanning online states.A separate service ticket was opened by you for Canada Post to address the employee/ post office complaint which we noted in our reply. Should you not be happy with the outcome of this investigation please contact the Canada Post **************** and provide them with your service ticket(s). They are a third party who will review Canada Posts actions.Again, we are very sorry that the item could not be located and the poor service you received from the ************ We hope this clarifies our reply on the next steps for the missing item, and that the complaint with the staff was investigated and dealt with your service ticket created by Customer *********************************** *************

Canada posts strike has held my fiance hostage in Canada for a MONTH. He is unable to work, provide income for our family. Has had to pay additional hotel / food costs to stay in Canada for over a month now. All because they are holding his newly renewed visa/passport hostage in their facilities. It is unacceptable and CRUEL to hold such crucial and vital documents from people. What theyre doing to him and 1000s of others should be illegal. I hope this business crumbles once this strike is over, the most horribly ran atrocity in history.

Please note that all mail and parcels are secure in our network and will be delivered as soon as possible upon the resumption of operations on a first-in, first-out basis. This Canada Post strike is ridiculous. If they don't want their job and wages. Fire their *****. Give the jobs to people who will appreciate it. Like the people on government assistance who desperately want to work. It annoys me how the Canada Post workers whine about how they can't survive on their wages. Yet the rest of us survive on a lot less. They're whining workers should try surviving on government assistance then come talk to us about how low their wages are.

I've had nothing but major issues with Canada Post, they delivered me a package to my mailbox. The key I had to said mailbox was wrong and they refused to move the package from the mailbox to a local canada post pickup. I requested a new key which I never got, and had to track down another key on my own to get a key for my mailbox. I have since ordered other packages usually showing up lating using the same address I always have, and now on my latest package they say the address is wrong. They also cannot guarantee me the issue will be resolved before they send the package back to the sender. The customer service *** was horrible talked over me and would not listen to anything I was trying to explain to her. I stated that I receive mail from my bank to the same mailbox using the same address as is on the package they are holding. She essentially called me a liar stating I was wrong and when the mail is scanned on delivery if the address is "wrong" as she states it is it would not be delivered. I would happily use and pay a private delivery company for my mail delivery for the rest of my life rather then ever trust Canada Post with any of my mail ever again. It's been nothing but a series of s**** *** on Canada Posts behalf. Yet anytime I've called to complain I'm talked down to belittled and blamed for their mistakes. Hands down the absolute worst form of mailing or shipping to exist.
