    I hired Michael, someone who I thought was my friend, to build me a website back in September of 2024. I thought everything was legit, we spent a couple hours on the phone doing market research, spitballing ideas, discussing SEOs, everything. He charged me $2,000CAD, which he wanted upfront. We set the due date for October 31, ******* time went on, I heard next to nothing. We pushed the due date back, however, as time went on, there was never any communication about the website. Eventually our mutual friends started asking me about where the website was and how it was looking. It had been 2 months, and not a single thing was done. I reached out to Michael to ask about setting a new deadline of January 1st, 2025. He agreed to it, but again completely ghosted me. After that, with the help of our mutual friends, I put my foot down. This is when Michael finally listened. He put in a few days of work, and produced something of subpar quality. I got the opinion of dozens of people who all agreed. The website looked rushed, there was tons of spelling and grammar mistakes, he used the wrong email (even after confirming with me), used stock images (even after recovering 500+ photos from me) to name a few things. Mind you, this was 3 months after a full payment was made. Michael eventually ended up calling me up after I had been snarky with him (justifiably so, considering the months of chasing him and the rude correspondence. He called me a slew of things, including an *****, unstable, and unreasonable. After that phone call, I changed all my passwords to the website and told me that we were done here and to just refund me. He said no, that I had a website that was live and functional, and to have a good day. And that was it.I will attach screenshots of out correspondence here but I had to cut the review back significantly for BBB. The full review can be found on his ****** and ******** page.

    In July 2024, I was training for a fitness competition. My coach organized a photo shoot for several of her athletes, scheduled Nov 16th 2024. Michael Dupe AKA Michael ********* was chosen for this shoot and the cost would be $1000.00. A down payment of $500.00 was required. Later correspondence said if we paid the full amount upfront, we would get additional photos at no charge. He also affirmed with my coach, that any athlete who needed to cancel for whatever reason, would get a full refund. In Aug 2024, I tore my rotator and in Sept, it was confirmed that I would need surgery to repair said injury. I met with the surgeon on Sept 11th and was operated on, Oct 7th.July 8th 2024, I have a receipt proving that I paid the full amount.Sept 16th, I emailed the photographer explaining the situation; I had sustained an injury needing surgical intervention and would not be able to participate in the shoot. I requested a full refund as initially promised.Sept 16th - photographer replies saying I should get my refund in two weeks.Sept 26th - I email him saying I still haven't received my refund.Sept 27th - He says the money should be in my account by Monday ( Sept 30th)Oct 2nd - I email him, saying still no refund.Oct 2nd - Reply saying his accountant is taking him time.Oct 11th - I email him, following up Oct 17th - I tell him i will be forced to seek legal action.I have called and emailed him. My phone number is blocked and he has since stopped replying to my emails.I paid $1000.00 for this photo shoot that I could not attend. He has not responded to my emails or texts. He has done this to another woman as well. He did go through with the photoshoot for the other athletes.
