    Cell phone fixing store, Hot Spot Mobile, quoted me $450 to fix my screen on my Apple IPhone 14. The screen was completely smashed. But the store insisted they could get the job done and would take a few days to fix. This would include fixing the screen and replacing the battery. They also insisted they needed my ***** password in order to fix the phone. Which shouldnt be required to fix. I found this bizarre so did not give them the password.I agreed to the quote to fix the phone and gave them it to begin the work. The phone would act as the collateral against the work to be done.When I returned to get the phone it was clear they did a very bad job fixing it and they did not do everything they said they would do. The phones screen was badly fixed and the battery was never installed.I paid the $450 to get the phone back since they refused to accept responsibility for the bad workmanship. I subsequently brought the phone back to complain about the bad job they did. They told me I get to have the battery replaced for free.I want my phone fixed like agreed and an acknowledgement that they mislead me.

    Thank you for your feedback. When your phone was first brought in, it was in a severely damaged condition, including a shattered screen, broken frame, and damaged back glass. We diligently repaired the screen, fixed the frame, and replaced the back glass. During the repair process, we discovered that the battery was also in poor condition. To ensure your phone was fully functional and to support you, we provided the new battery at no extra cost, even though it wasnt initially included in the quote. When we ask about the password, its because your phone was badly damaged and we want to check all the parts in the inside. we give our customer 100 day warranty, but it doesnt cover physical damage, but after we fix the phone, you brought your phone broken.

    After the repair, your phone was fully functional, and you were satisfied at that time. We understand that additional damage can occur later, and we remain committed to assisting our customers to the best of our ability.
