Sept.20th, Oct.1st, Oct. 31st/2023 were the dates where Link-On showed up. On Sept. 20, they showed up without notice for the 2nd time. ******/****** (my account # ********** is my new internet provider and they were here to install outside new internet cable and fix the cable inside the house. The nature of the dispute is that they damaged my exterior siding spreading caulking over a foot in length over my siding. The damage was done by ***** of Link-On as I was beside him watching him damage my siding. He opened a small envelope which contained caulking (like wet one tiny envelopes given at food chains) and used the edge of it to spread the caulking on the siding. I immediately exclaimed what have you done?, stop ...that is not how you caulk a cable). It was too late. ***** PANICKED AND SAID I WILL CALL MY SUPERVISOR AND HE WILL FIX IT. ***************************, of Link-On, the residential supervisor did not answer the phone.Oct. 1st ******* showed up with gasoline and rubbed it along the caulking on my siding making the damage larger extending to the siding panel below and removing the colouring from my brown siding. I immediately called ****** who asked me to get a siding company quote to repair the damage. Maize ** quoted $14,000 saying that patching the spot would make it look worse so the whole side needed to be redone. My house is newer, the siding is insulated (costs are twice of reg. siding). I said I wanted a settlement as I have to live with the damages which are obvious and it could devalue my house value if I ever sell. I asked for $2,000 as a settlement instead of opting to have all the siding replaced. Link-On said THEY DID NOT CAUSE THE DAMAGE and offered a goodwill? $500 settlement. ****** AND LINK-ON WERE NOT PRESENT AND CLAIMED THAT I INSTALLED MY OWN CABLE AND DID THE CAULKING. IF THIS IS NOT A COVER UP I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS. I witnessed Rajan damage my siding, other parties were not present. They need to be accountable for the damages. BBB please help.
