5 starsIt was my first time using Handyman Connection Ottawa and, wow, the service and craftsmanship were incredible. **** trimmed and repaired an older solarium window for us and I can't say enough about the excellent quality work...and how pleasant he was to deal with. In fact, the whole process -- from arranging and scheduling the project with ******** in the office to **** showing up at my door with all the necessary supplies and a clear picture of what needed to be done -- was easy and seamless. I would definitely use Handyman Connection again!

5 starsI've been very pleased with the services I've received from Handyman Connections. The professionals they send to do the work required are knowledgeable, pleasant and do excellent work. There was quick response to initial request for quote, and then good follow-up via email reminders after agreeing to have the work completed. *** (the technician) who did the work was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient in completing the work. 5 starsI was totally satisfied with my experience dealing with handyman connection. ******** came quickly to provide a very reasonable estimate just before Christmas and accommodated my desire to get the job done before the end of the year. He was courteous efficient and very good at his job, I cannot recommend him higher. I would go back to the same organization again and hope to have the same handyman. I appreciated the flexibility of the front line personnel on the phone and appreciated the text messages to keep me informed about progress.Handyman Connection Ottawa

5 starsWorking with Handyman Connection was a very good experience. All my contact with them was very professional. We hired ******** to completed some drywall work in our basement. His work was excellent. He came in person to complete an estimate and each time he came to our house he arrived when he said he would. 1 star89yr old father-in-law has a bit of water on the floor next to toilet was the call. Repair was replacement of the wax seal at $600. Normally family assists the client but were unable to this time. Once we saw the invoice we were surprised at the high cost and called 6 local licensed plumbers to ask for quotes. Returned quotes were between $150-$300. We contacted Handyman connection asking for a breakdown of cost. It was $250 for diagnosis, $250 for the repair and $100 for shopping including the wax seal. We called and asked for further information and if we can talk to the owner. We were told that they would call back the next day which did not happen. We called back and the rep told us that he did not want to deal with this so we asked for the name of the owner, the reply was "I don't know". It took 5 seconds to find it on the website. Their explanation for the cost was that they charge a base fee of $190 which includes the 1st hour. The $100 shopping fee was because their plumber did not have a wax seal with him and had to go buy one. That leaves $310 charge for what could not be completed in 1hr. H.C. would not adjust the charge however did knock off $80 from the shopping charge. Buyer beware **** - OttawaHandyman Connection Ottawa

Hi ****, I am sorry we were not able to resolve this to your satisfaction. The job was completed in May and when you reported the price complaint in Oct, we did a full investigation. We reviewed everything with you and we feel we provided you with a fair solution. Our procedures are designed to protect customers from being over-charged. We do on-site estimates at no charge and no obligation. We estimate by the job, not by the hour, so you know upfront how much it will cost. We only do work once it is approved by the customer.We confirmed that the procedures were followed and the price for labour was fair for the full scope of work performed. We removed the $100 shopping charge and only charged for the $20 in materials that were purchased resulting in an $80 refund.We believe this was a fair resolution.Your father-in-law has done more projects with us since the plumbing repair and has never indicated any concerns with our service.****
