On January 30, 2023, BBB contacted Dusty Duct Cleaners and requested that it remove its claim of having an A+ rating with BBB. The business is falsely claiming, on its website, to be BBB Accredited with an A+ rating.
BBB further asked Dusty Duct Cleaners to substantiate its partnership with Canada Construction Contractors, as well as The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) as noted on its website, and that it provide documentation supporting its claim of having been awarded Homestar’s Best of 2018.
As per the BBB Code of Advertising, https://www.bbb.org/code-of-advertising/ section 1. Basic Principles, the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims prior to publication.
