    I paid a deposit to Phoenix Homes of $45K between Dec 2020 to Feb 2021 to purchase a new home at $801K with the agreement that my new home would be built in Dec 2022. However, they have delayed my home 4 times now (from Dec 2022 to Feb 2023 then April 2023 then August 2023, and now APRIL ****!!! Every time I make arrangements to my living situation, they change the plan on me and dont provide any explanation for the delays! When I ask for answers, they dont respond to emails. *** left messages on the managers phone and dont receive any calls back. Most recently, they sent me an email at the end of August telling me that they cant install soft closing cabinets in my kitchen on only some of the cabinets - they said it has to either be on all of them or none of them which was contradictory to what the sales rep had originally told me. They offered to do all of them for more money or none of them and issue me a refund for what I already paid. I asked them to please do it on all of them and to consider absorbing the cost for it given how much of a negative impact and experience theyve put me and my family through. But they ignored me. I sent a follow up email and heard from them 2 months later saying that they could in fact do soft closing cabinets on just some of the cabinets as per my original order!! So I dont understand why all of a sudden it was okay and why they take so long to respond and sometimes dont even respond to emails or calls. I want to speak to the manager. Other builders are delivering homes on time despite working under the same conditions as them. Currently, Phoenix is offering $25K rebate in design centre upgrades to new clients and I want them to credit me this amount too since Ive paid over $30K in extra rent/ mortgage expenses while awaiting for my the home they promised me in December 2022. I could have also secured a much better mortgage rate if it was ready on time as opposed to the current absurd amounts that were faced with now.
