    BUYER BEWARE! In July 2012 I hired Bath fitters to install a new tub liner and one piece tub surround for my dated bathroom. During the measurement part of order,During the measurement of the room **** did not measure the tub surround correctly so the installer had to cut my one piece tub surround so I ended up with a two piece tub surround. I had assumed that the replaced drywall that is behind the tub liner was installed correctly until I did a major renovation this year and when I opened up the walls on the bask side of the tub surround, I had observed that many of the drywall screws and missed the wall studs completely directly due to the installer not marking the stud locations on the drywall before installing it. I guess their one day installation advertising does come with a price for the trusted consumer. A year ago I started to notice that the tub liner seemed to separating from the bathtub around the drain area and this spring the separation was now halfway along the length of the bathtub and was very noisy to use due to all of the liner flexing when stepped on. In may month, I contacted bath fitters to have my now defective tub liner replaced by the company as they advertise in the lifetime warranty ads. And was told that this defect is not covered under their warranty program , but for $250 they would remove the tub liner and repair same but oh by the way the liners usually break during removal and if this happens, I am looking at $1600.00 to replace with a new liner. and another visit by **** on Nov 18 to raise my concerns again I got the same answers and was rold by **** that everything is in the fine print. Gotta love warranties like this that offer you everthing yet give you nothing. I also contacted the head office in Montreal on June 18 and was told that Monica would contact me within 34 Hr.Still waiiting.. what a joke!

    The customer contacted us several months ago, regarding his concerns about the tub we installed in 2012, our General Manager, **** went to see him to assess the situation, and see how we could help. The fact that the wall had to be cut in order to do the installation, was only discovered after the existing vinyl tub surround was removed, and could not have been predicted prior to that. However the customer was informed of this at the time of installation, and agreed with the necessary change. It is only now, 9 years later that he has decided to make an issue of it, because he is unhappy with our response to his complaints. The adhesive in the bottom of the tub has compressed in one area, and the liner is no longer fully adhered in that section, the customer was informed that this is essentially a cosmetic issue that doesn’t affect the functionality of the tub, and as such, isn’t covered under the manufacturers lifetime warranty. We offer a 5 year installation warranty, which covers everything relating to the installation, including adhesives, and even the silicone caulking, this is outlined very clearly on our contracts, and the customer was fully aware of this, when he hired us to do the repairs in his bathroom. The customer was informed that the tub liner could be removed, new adhesive applied, and reinstalled, he was also informed that the possibility of the liner cracking existed, since it has been in use for 9 years, and we have no way of knowing how it has been cared for. We have been out to visit the client three times, and in an effort to maintain positive customer relations, we offered him a discounted rate to remove and reinstall the liner. The customer responded by make threats and accusations, and is now attempting to hold us hostage using various avenues to post negative reviews if we don’t give in to his demands. **** ****
