1 starThis whole experience on the day of the move and after has felt like a **** and completely taking advantage of a consumer. I did my due diligence to share the contents of my home to move before the quote was provided and it was still $1400 more than the original quoted price!
-The final price was $1400 more than the estimate - a terrible experience and not what was agreed upon
The whole move took 14 hours including 2+ hours due to the truck being smaller than agreed upon which delayed the move time for the day
-The movers didnt leave until 1:30am which was incredibly late and the day should have not been 14 hours to move one 1800 sq ft home
-When the supervisor called for payment at 1am, we didnt agree on the price as it was $1400 more than the estimate. He called the movers at my home and they stopped moving the last of my things from the truck and wouldn’t finish unloading until I paid. I had every intention of paying and I told the supervisor that. The supervisor also hung up on me mid sentence and when I called him back he said I hung up because you weren’t giving me your card to pay, no resolution at all!!
-I’ve tried 3 times to resolve with the company to no resolution.
A terrible experience and I wouldn't recommend - ******!Let's Get Moving

Hello ****,
we have checked the call recordings and there was never any exact amount given to you; as that contradicts your contract that states and confirms you do not require the total amount of hours to complete the move and can only provide a rough estimation in terms of hours.
A resolution has been provided for you as per your request and we are currenty trying to serttle the matter for you.

1 starWe were shopping moving companies and this one called us repeatedly offering the lower and lower prices until we finally agreed to 120/hr. We told them upon booking that we might have to change the moving date to the first and they told us there'd be no problem. When we did call to move they told us the rate would be 170/hr. They couldnt really explain why the rate would be higher and wouldnt give us our deposit back when we said we wanted to go with someone else. ******* ******* *** ******** - I would not recommendLet's Get Moving

Hello *******,
we truly apologize about the discrepancy in regards to the hourly rate quote of the move that was told to you during the booking process.
Our rates do fluctuate depending on the time of the month and the 1st of the month is the most costly date to move with LGM, and we do not offer price lock guarantees from the 27th-3rd of the month.
We have ensured that this mistake was rectified with the sales agent on our end to ensure this never happens again.
We apologize about the inconvenience and stress this has caused you.
Please know that LGM is more than happy to rectify this matter for you.
Please reach out to us at your earliest availability so we can offer you a solution.

(1) After arranging a move between two communities on Vancouver Island, and expressing the importance of meeting a particular window for ferry travel, the crew arrived two hours late and did not communicate the delays until much prompting from the client.
(2) A transit time that should have taken at most 3 hours (and 2 hours if they had abided by the agreed timing) ended up taking nearly 6, with no communication to the client.
(3) Poor handling and unprofessional conduct when off-loading property, resulting in significant damage to property and to the home.
(4) Significantly overcharged for travel time, despite being questioned at the point of paying. The response provided was that the client would receive an itemized receipt detailing the total costs.
(4a) Itemized receipt was not provided for nearly 72 hours despite an initial commitment that it would be provide same-day, and only offered after multiple follow ups.
(5) Upon submitting a complaint using the company's process, no follow up for two weeks.
(6) After further direct follow up, initial offer for compensation did not cover the actual difference in services rendered (continued overcharging). Subsequent offers also failed to provide appropriate remedy for overcharges and damages.
In short, do not use this company - every aspect of this job was poorly handled and reflects a culture of mismanagement (at best) and poor planning that the client is expected to bear. Initial conversations with the customer service team indicated that they had a commitment to communication and were keen to support the client's moving needs, but in practice every stage of the moving process was marked by poor communication and planning on the part of the movers, a disregard for client needs and concerns, and no accountability for failures. *** ***** ******* ***** ****** ***** *** *******Let's Get Moving

1 starTERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Arrival time 2-4pm. Got a call at 4 saying they were leaving the depot. Loading started at 4:30pm. Moving a 3 bedroom apartment with extra storage but majority of our stuff was in a ground floor garage. Should have been quick. First red flag was a broken glass door that they said was found like that and I know it wasn’t. They likely moved something and it shifted and broke. I let it slide. By 6:30pm they told me they would need 2 trips or another guy and truck for extra $70/hour. Guy and truck arrived at 7:15pm. Loading took until 9pm. They only had to dismantle a few items (table, bed frame and legs from tv). Offloading was terrible. The guys took their time and even one bag of pillows at a time!!!!! I had to step in the speed things up. They made me pay before truck was empty. $2,358 for 8 3/4 hours. A nice overestimate since they left by 12pm. Then the guys stood around while I put a small pile of items into the garage and they had the nerve to ASK FOR A TIP!!! Next day, unpacking I realized they didn’t include the bolts for my table or legs for my tv!!! I called 3 times and no action taken. I would NEVER hire this company again.Let's Get Moving

Hello *****,
we aretruly sorry for the issues that took place during your with LGM Markham in 2023.
In response to your claim:
It is stated in your contract that if payment is not made, we have the right to return to the office; as you are then in default of the contract.
After more than an hour of attempting to collect the payment for services rendered, the payment was not made and the crew left to return to the office.
This matter has since been rectified and resolved fully.

1 starWorst moving company ever. They charge you for their commute to get to you and charge a second commute time to get to their next customer which is the equivalent of 2 hours. Extremely slow movers. A move of one small sofa one dresser and kitchen table and two chairs basically a bachelor around 700sqft took two movers 4 hours to move and two hours commute. Not transparent with their pricing. Horrible customer service. If you are looking for slow movers who will overcharge you and charge you two hours for their commute then choose this company.Let's Get Moving

1 star* ** ******* ** **** *** ** *** *** **** ******* ** **** *** ***** ****** They damaged my property during 2 moves. The first move for a 1 bedroom place 15 minutes away cost over 800$ and I tipped 60$ where my room divider was taken apart and the pieces missing so I could not use it so it was trash and had to be thrown out. ( I left messages for management and never heard back for months and had to call over 5 times) The 2nd move cost me over 1200$ (4 months later)and they broke my ************* heirloom teacup from the 1930's and I did not even get an apology. The box was marked HEIRLOOMS so you would think it would be handled with care but instead the movers hid out in the truck while I picked up the broken glass. They also scratched my SMART ******* tv and tried to tell me it is worth 100$, **** * *****. Even a replacement would at least cost 350$ and up (43-50 inch). I was offered some measly hush money of 250$ to not post the truth. THEY TEXTED ME THEY WOULD PAY ME 500$ AND THEN WHEN I CALLED THEY TOOK THAT BACK AND SAID THAT WAS A MISTAKE AND THEY CAN ONLY OFFER 250$. I WAS PROMISED 2500$ DAMAGE INSURANCE. ** *** *** ***** ******** **** *** * ***** *** *** *******. IT IS STRESSFUL ENOUGH TO MOVE AND THEN TO HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER MONTH FOR A MANAGER TO CALL TO MAKE IT RIGHT IS ALSO ** WHICH HAPPENED AGAIN. 1 starThey were quick to get me to commit and sounded professional. The move was the most horrible experience we have had, and we have moved 5 times in 7 years, so we know how things should go. Hoping to save money we actually moved all the items in the house other that furniture and larger items. they sent 3 very unprofessional movers and a 26 ft truck. We will 20min away, this should have taken maximin 6 to 7 hours. They took 13 hrs, 2 trips and this was due to thier packing of the truck. They did not cover anything and damaged several items of our furniture, they also damaged our house that we just purchased, they damaged a wall and the oak banister going down stairs. It was a horrible day for us and then to have to pay 3990$ after watching them damage things after the long 13hr day. I DO NOT recommend them to move. It should not have taken so long or cost so much and now I need to take MY time to put a claim in.Let's Get Moving

1 starTerrible planning and execution, completely unprofessional at a very expensive price.
I recently enlisted the services of Let's Get Moving for a local move within Toronto, from ** ******* ****** **** ** *** ****** **** ****, on August 26th. The entire process was fraught with issues, culminating in the loss of my desktop computer, valued at approximately CND $2800. To start, the truck provided exceeded the height I initially requested, making it unsuitable for the loading docks at both locations. This forced the drivers to park quite a distance from both buildings, complicating the loading and unloading process. The most alarming issue, however, was that the truck was left unattended, unlocked, and open multiple times. It was during one of these times that my desktop computer went missing. Despite immediately informing the drivers, they were unable to locate the item, reflecting poorly on their level of professionalism and care. This computer was not just a costly device; it contained invaluable data files and photographs. I had taken a photograph of the computer the day before the move, clearly indicating it was among the possessions meant to be transported. Security footage even showed that at 9:42 am, the computer was placed into the elevator and left in a blind spot. Later, at 10:21 am, a man on a bike was captured on camera taking the computer as it was left unattended and unprotected, directly in front of the truck. The emotional and financial toll this experience has taken on me is immeasurable. * ******** ********** ****** **** ***** ***** *** ****** *** ***** ********** ****** The lack of responsibility exhibited by their employees cost me a valuable item and significant peace of mind during an already stressful period.
