    This company manages building maintenance across the city of ******. They signed a contract with my small business, The Urban Botanist to provide maintenance on their **** walls to one of their buildings at 405 Terminal in ***********. After completing my two contracted maintenance visits at $1800.00 per visit in October of 2023 and again in March 2024 - I have yet to receive payment for either. These invoices remain outstanding for no reason whatsoever. The now owner of this business, ************************ inherited it from her late husband and sadly has no idea how to run it professionally. She is the only one with signing authority on cheques, and simply dodged, avoids and completely disregards all emails, phone calls, and attempts to collect payment for the work that has been provided. After an in person meeting, she has now flat out refused to make payment. There has been no reason provided. The work was sufficiently and appropriately been completed on my part, this is just a really shady and unprofessional business to work with. After a bit of ****** reviews research I have learned I am one of many vendors to be burned by Controlex Corp. Small businesses and contractors deserve to be protected from unlawful actions and horrible business practices that Controlex offers. I hope that some action will be made, although I dont expect to recoup my lost funds, putting my small business in jeopardy of closing. I hope that Controlex Corporation will receive some sort of penalty or letter that they have been reported and are held accountable for their actions. An employee said to me that ************ never pays her bills. This is wrong and this company should not be allowed to practice business in *******. Please BBB do something about this corporation, small businesses need you !
