Both APM Group and Kanata Property Management are linked to "Znet Marketing," a company located in St. John's, Newfoundland.
On various internet ads, APM Group gives different addresses as their business operating address. Some of these addresses are for the properties they rent out, some are locations of storage units, one was for a post office box in a pharmacy, and one was for a restaurant in Ottawa that says they have never heard of APM Group. The address listed for APM Group on this review is the address given on the company's provincial business registration.
The company also uses numerous phone numbers in their internet advertising. When dialed, there is either no answer, or it goes to a voicemail which makes no mention of the company name.
This company's website shows their business name as "APM Group Inc." The "Inc." implies that the company is incorporated. This is not the case, however, as APM Group is a sole proprietorship, registered in the province of Ontario.
This business' website (on the "Links" page), provides the name of a real estate agent. The BBB has contacted this agent, who has advised he has never heard of APM Group.
There is a different, reputable company in Ottawa called "Affordable Property Management Corp." APM Group may be "spoofing" their name, and relying on consumers confusing the two businesses.
The BBB contacted APM Group, and asked them to comment on the above concerns. The company failed to respond.
