July 5, 2025 I was trying to try out the Merx system for a month to see if I wanted the service. I did click a monthly system. It took a year payment from my credit card. I called them to tell them I didn't want a yearly subscription. I spoke to a fellow from ******** and he told me they would not reimburse me and cancel the subscription. He said I was too stupid and its my fault. I am a First Nation small business. I was trying to determine if it would help my business. I pulled a document and realized it is not for me. They absolutely refuse to cancel and give me back my money. I am disgusted with the racist attitude because I am ************************ company is ************************, it is under this for the subscription.

We purchased access to a service that claims to provide opportunities to respond to Requests for Proposals (****). However, the platform only reveals the mandatory requirements of each RFP after payment is made. Upon reviewing the **** post-purchase, we discovered that we do not meet the mandatory criteria and are therefore ineligible to bid making the service effectively useless for our business. This practice amounts to a bait-and-switch: we are enticed to pay under the impression well be able to access legitimate bidding opportunities, only to find out afterward that we cannot participate. Other reputable platforms provide at least a preview of mandatory requirements so businesses can make informed decisions before paying. We believe this is a deceptive business practice, as the service fails to provide critical information upfront and offers no value if the buyer is ineligible to respond to the **** they have paid to access. We are requesting a full refund and that the company revise its process to display mandatory requirements prior to purchase, in the interest of transparency and fairness.

Merx provides a annual service for a fee of over $1000 to provide access to Request for Proposals (RFP) in business. You must pay before you can access an RFP, and if you do not qualify for the RFP , you are out that money. On top of this, we had an RFP we needed to download, they charged an additional $40.00 to download, after the $1000 annual fee. It is a classic "bait and switch" business model that is unethical. We reached out to Merx and they simply brushed it off, our policy. BUYER BEWARE!

On March 21, I contacted this company to cancel my subscription. They responded and said that they will cancel my subscription and will versus any fees that they have. Today on March 27 I see that they took out $77.18 out of my bank account.

I called them this morning to tell them that I cancelled the account and that they should not have charged my account. I spoke to ******, who looked through the emails that CONFIRMED that my account was cancelled and that no charges would take place.

She confirmed with me that I will get a refund.

About an hour later, I get an email saying I WILL NOT get refunded and my refund hasn’t been approved.?

How is that even possible? I contacted them to cancel before my subscription ended and they told me themselves in writing and verbally that they will reverse the transaction and pay me back. Now they’re refusing to pay me back.

Because I have it all in writing, I will be filing a complaint and a chargeback request with **********.
