In September 2023, Tri-City quoted us for a simple job. My project was delayed by more than two weeks, which complicated things for my contractor, who accommodated both times. There was almost no communication with the company aside from an email stating my job would need to be rescheduled. I had to email the scheduler to confirm the day they were starting and when the crew would arrive. I emailed them my paint colour without acknowledging or confirming they had received the email. I emailed questions regarding the stain colour as I wanted to keep the wood light, but no one answered my emails again. We agreed to leave our family home to accommodate the painters finishing the job on a weekend, a huge inconvenience but one we were willing to make to finish up a 3-month project. However, the job was not complete following the weekend. The day of the job site leader showed up, we walked him through the project, he said he would not be on-site as he was leaving the country. When I asked him about the staircase, he said his team was not skilled in staining and I could call him back in 5 days when he returned from his trip. Again, no one followed up with me regarding the staining, and I was issued an invoice for the work when it was incomplete. I had to follow up with the company and inform them the job was not complete. The paint crew left my house key in the mailbox without notice, and I had no idea where the key was, who had it, or if the team was finishing the job? I was in communication with the estimator and the paint crew manager regarding my stain choice. I sent along an email with three colour choices and was told none of them could be done. I told them I wanted the stairs light, and they stained the wood dark brown, without checking or confirming the choice with me. I have never experienced such terrible customer service. I have since communicated with them my dissatisfaction with zero response.
