I deeply regret purchasing a new home from CaraCo. If I could go back, I would buy a finished home instead, which often includes many upgradeslike a finished basement, better interior finishes, or even a poolwithout the stress and hidden costs of a new build. Living in a construction zone for months was far from peaceful.CaraCo clearly prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. Everything seemed professional before signing the agreement, but the situation changed dramatically at the design stagea pattern Ive heard from other buyers, even those who purchased nearly ten years ago. The design centre experience was unpleasant: I was pressured, treated disrespectfully, and misled. I felt forced to accept unfair upgrade prices and one-sided terms under the threat of losing my deposit or receiving only a base model. The upgrade agreements are carefully worded to protect the builder, not the homeowner. The homes build quality is deeply disappointing. Long cracks in the poured concrete basement walls and floor were ignored unless over 4 mm, suggesting cost-cutting on reinforcement. Exterior walls are weak, with minimal insulation and drywall as the main structural layer. Main-floor studs are standard wood, and engineered studs only upstairs, giving a misleading impression of quality. The house feels fragile and poorly constructed for the price paid.Inside, materials are cheaptiles, tubs, mirrors, and fixtures are low-end. Paid upgrades were often replaced with cheaper versions. Defects and cracks are everywhere, and resolving them is slow and frustrating. CaraCo also misleads inspectors and uses Tarions system to their advantage, leaving buyers unsupported and at financial risk.Overall, I strongly discourage anyone from buying a home from CaraCotheir practices are misleading, profit-driven, exploitative, and deeply disappointing. Their focus is on money, not honesty, quality, safety, or customer satisfaction.
