We retained Titan Movers to help us move from our former home in Guelph to a new home in Guelph on September 24th, 2021. The service was poor and several items were lost and/or damaged. The main concern is that a brand new storage cabinet was damaged while it was being transported in the van. I informed the owner, Shaun, about this on the night of the move, once the job had been completed. He assured me that he would send a replacement and asked that I send him an online link to the item, which I did. Several weeks passed and I did not receive a replacement. I contacted Shaun several times to ask about the status of the replacement and each time, he responded that he had not yet had an opportunity to process it but that he would. At this point, over a month has passed since our move date and I have yet to receive the replacement. The company has now stopped responding to my messages. I sent a text on October 4th and an email on November 2nd but have not received a response to either. Given that I needed somewhere to store my items, I ended up purchasing another cabinet and at this point would like a monetary refund equal to the value of the cabinet plus tax and delivery ($265.54). I have attached relevant supporting documentation, including: 1) A photo showing the damage to the top of the cabinet, which renders it unsightly; 2) Screenshots of text messages between Shaun and me, one of which confirms that he would replace the cabinet. Please note that not everything is captured in these messages as I phoned him twice to ask about the status of the replacement; 3) An email sent to Shaun on November 2nd, to which I did not receive a response, and which also contains a link to the item and the cost of replacement. In addition to the cabinet, I would also like to know if it is possible to seek compensation for the poor service and inconvenience of having to deal with this issue for over a month now? I can provide further details about the other issues if needed.
