      We have booked a Sunwing vacation all inclusive package which included free of charge 1 st bags check out for departure and return trip. Our vacation had been canceled by Sunwing because of the hotel closure - we were told by an agent that we can rebook and they will transfer the promo to our new booking.
      They did not. After numerous phone calls and emails they might apply free bags promo to return flight but not departure flight ( it is still more than 60 days before departure), terrible customer service trying to sell you vacation for 5% more when you try to rebook that the web price. *** **** *** ****** ****

      We booked premium-priced Spring Break vacation through Sunwing Vacations at ******** ****** with our young children, ******* ** ******** ******* ******* *** *** ******** ***** Booking process was straightforward, but every aspect of Sunwing’s customer and post-travel service proved deeply flawed.
      On-Site Indifference, Lack of Support
      At check-in, no Sunwing staff would assist with lost wallet (we could still see driving away on the bus upon arrival) or navigating hotel amenities. Sunwing reps were visible only to upsell third-party excursions, leaving guests with no basic support. Booking through Sunwing meant my ******** Platinum Elite status was ignored. Resort staff consistently deferred to Sunwing for travel-related issues, but Sunwing’s representatives did nothing to help resolve problems at property.
      Dangerous Incidents
      Trip Included repeated service failures and a serious electrical fire at night in our room. Slow and inadequate response during and management offered compensation on final day only with a non-disclosure agreement. Sunwing failed to advocate for us or ensure safety standards.
      Post-Trip Communication Nightmare
      Responses were disorganized and consistently deferred to “Post Travel Team,” which could not be reached directly via phone/email. Took over a month to get any written response, and only because I persistently followed up. Agent did not acknowledge the most critical incidents and ignored submitted evidence, including photos and message records.
      My request to escalate was refused, with my case ultimately marked closed without genuine review or resolution.

      This reply from Sunwing is clearly a standard response. My file has not been reopened, and none of the specific issues I raised — including a ********* electrical fire, lack of onsite support, and post-travel communication failures — have been meaningfully addressed.
      As a customer who paid significant money for a premium family vacation, I find it unacceptable that Sunwing continues to close cases with generic replies rather than genuine review or resolution. **** ******** * ********* ********* *** **** ***** ****** *** ***************

      But a package for me and my father not even 5 days later price dropped 100 per ticket spoke to sunwing cares and tried to escalate said there was nothing that can be done...**** ****** ***.

      I disagree with your comment *** ****** *** ******* ***** *** ********** and that's why you guys removed price drop guarantee back in May 2024. It allows you guys to manipulate pricing and its not fair that im paying 150 dollars more per ticket with Sunwing. Please review for further assistance I paid 800 and the price dropped to 643 in less than 5 days of purchase. And the vacation is in one month. I was told to cancel and rebook buy one of your reps can u help me or escalate. You guys should be able to offer something solely based of principal.

Our flight was delayed three days “due to weather “ **** *** ***** ***** ******** ****** ** **** ******** *** **** ****** . When i tried to put a claim into there department it was deemed out of there control . Talked to a sunwing rep on and of for 32mins and after many attempts to speak to a manager on duty, they proceeded to tell me that it could not resolved and there was no manager to talk to . * ********** **** ******** ****** ** *** **** ****** ** *** **** **** *** ************ *** **** ****** * Not as much as a food voucher at the airport was given out while the flight again was delayed ( no pilots) .       Multiple Sunwing flights all travelling back to my province at or around the same day with the same delays **** ******* ************. * **** ******** ****** *** ****** ***** **** ***** ****** *** ********* **** ******* **** ******** ***** . I started calling sunwing the minute we got delay (on a weekend , so there was no rep to help ) to busy phones and voicemails in Spanish . They say weather but yet flights to canada with other airlines were going . Now they are saying i only had 48 hrs to make a complaint , doesnt say nothing to that affect on the claims report . And who really has time to file when they have to worry where they are going to eat or sleep …. ******* ** …. Never again

      Sunwing to Mexico flight was perfect. Problem was when I was told to meet a Sunwing Rep outside of the airport , could not find any ,found a
      group with ***** shirts since they were orange I asked was told to stand on this little platform in the heat after about an hour I asked they said when they find a drive. Finally was Put in a van and taken to resort. Was never offered water or anything just left standing there while the reps stood in a different place in the shade chatting. One suitcase was damaged and the other was ruined. Was a day late getting home but I cannot totally blame Sungwing,

      ** ****** ****** ******* **** ******** Our experience was incredibly disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this airline to anyone.
      After a major delay, we were given conflicting information by staff, and as a result, we ended up paying out of pocket for accommodations and meals that other passengers received vouchers for. Trying to get help afterward has been a nightmare—emails go unanswered, phone calls drop with no follow-up, and their website is difficult to navigate for claims.
      Despite being patient and respectful throughout, we’ve been completely ignored and misled, with no real effort made to resolve the situation. ** ****** ******** ***** ******* **** ******** * ******** ******* ************** Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere—this company does not value its customers or stand by its responsibilities.

      ******** ******** ******** ******** nothing positive to say about the company except that staff onboard was friendly and professional. It was my first time using this company for a two weeks all inclusive vacation....well it will be my last time!
      No accountability as far as flight delays and cancellations. 12 hours at the airport waiting for our flight to depart, a 20$ food voucher for 12 hours!!! No water on the plane to wash our hands....a real ordeal, * ********....and all that because of the weather! Yeah, right!!!! And I almost forgot: 19 hours that were wasted of my vacation....but no compensation for that!

      Patience and cooperation! How ironic it is from you! Did the Sunwing have patience and cooperation when we were stuck for 12 hours at the airport, without any food or comfort? Without much of a communication? I was told my file was closed WITHOUT GETTING ANYTHING, NEITHER COMPENSATION, NOR A VOUCHER!
      I actually asked for reconsideration since "weather" is mentioned as cause; however no detailed statement about that is provided. The passengers right bureau states that you are required to provide me with a detailed report.....** *** *** ** *** **** *** **** ** ****** *** *** **** ************ **** ******* **** ****** *** ********************* ******** ** ** *** **** * ********.it is so unfortunate to let customers down, like that.....I certainly keep hoping for a positive outcome but do not want to dwell on this right now since ** ** ****** ** * *** ** ********

      So I am leaving 5 star because I was actually impressed on how Sunwing handled a unfortunate situation.
      A few months ago flying back from Montego Bay our flight was delayed almost 10 hours. I don't know the full details but from what I understand there was some documents that were not renewed and Sunwing had to get them renewed for us to take off. At first we were only told a few hours then that turned into a few more hours then 10 hours later we were finally ready to take off. This definitely was an inconvenience. ** **** * ******* ***** ******** ** **** *** ********** *** ******* **** ******** *** *** ******* ** *** **** ** **** *** * ***** ****  During our 10-hour stay at the airport Sunwing would give ** **** *** * $20 vouchers each every 3 or 4 hours (can't remember) to get some food and having a ************** ** *** ******* *** ******* **** *** **** **** ******** At the end of the day we made it home safe and because this was a fault of Sunwing they reimbursed us $1250.00
      Each towards or next vacation. ( we could have taken $1,000 cash but chose to take the travel vouchers). I believe this situation was handled just fine all considering. See you next year Sunwing!

      We enjoyed our vacation in Puerto Plata Dominican Republic, but trying to fly home was a nightmare. We were dropped off by ***** Tours and their check in is basically exposed to the weather. This day was extremely hot and the lineup was insanely long. ********* **** getting heat stroke. My partner was sick from the heat and threw up while we were waiting to pay the $20 USD each. They had a nurse check her out and said she needed water. Ok. We got water once we passed security. My partner was still sick inside, dizzy and nauseous from the heat. The lady at the sunwing counter saw her, took our tickets, and said “No, you are not boarding” and ushered for us to be escorted out, but not before informing us we are to head to the hospital and get a “Safe to fly” clearance from a doctor there. They kept our $20 USD each. And no refund offered or new flight booked. ***** tour guide told me I needed $50 in dominican money and led me to an atm, then put us on a random taxi. We were sent away, and ***** tours stopped replying to help us get home after. So, no hotel. No flight home. And left alone in a foreign country being sent to a hospital. You also need your own phone to call for help. Had to activate cell data. Spent over 24 hrs at the hospital waiting for a dr to say we were ok. They would not let us leave until insurance covered the medical bill. NEVER go anywhere without insurance. ***** *** ******** They abandon you, same with ***** Tours. We ended up paying for a random hotel and flight out of pocket with *** *******. **** ** **** *** **** ***** **** *** *** **** *** *** *** ***** ** **** **** ***** *********** ***** *** ******** They abandon you. ******* I did receive around $100 from Sunwing (as a friendly gesture they said). Not happy.

      Our safety was not priority, as we were not even offered water. We were sick because of the heat and standing in line for an absurd length of time to pay $20 USD each (which your airline kept) and then ushered us off to an ATM to pay for a taxi to the hospital (another $50) where we were held until insurance cleared. Nexus tours, your partner there, stopped replying to us asking for help and what to do next. We were not treated “as priority” at all. We were lucky enough to have phones with cell service to call insurance. * ***** **** ** **** *** **** ******* ***** ***** ** ******* ********* ****** ** *** ***** (* ******* **** *** ******* ****** ** abandoned in a foreign country). I am not happy at all, and trying to get home was the worst travel experience of my life.
