      ***** **** *** ****** *** *** *** ******** ********** They damaged my brakes on brand new car and are refusing to ****** *** *** ** addressing issues, giving a warranty and doing warranty work and complete service they have been paid for. I have now gone back 6 times to address issues with brake service(which did not need to be done btw) and every time something was done wrong and now have been having dragging brakes feeling issue for months and I have had to replace front brakes now which they need to pay for and all costs as they did not put brake pad in properly, bent anti clips after forgetting even to install them so was driving around with lose brake pad for weeks.

      Hi again **. I am the General manager of Active Tire & Auto Centre Inc. You continue to post false information (now on a different forum) despite numerous attempts from multiple sources to try and remedy your concerns. You continue to be argumentative, abrasive and *********** in all of your 50+ emails you have sent, despite offers to re-inspect your vehicle at no cost to you. For the benefit of BBB, Mr. GA had rear brakes replaced in May 2024 at a franchised location in Barrie. There were no issues with the brake replacement and no other services were performed. GA contacted the independently owned and operated servicing location several months later with other concerns, that to this date have not been confirmed by any location including the ****** Dealership that he has visited. In fact, **'s last email confirmed there is NO DAMAGE to any of the 'exterior' or ‘outer’ components of the braking system. This was allegedly reported by a separate service outlet. To address some of your false statements; 1) both of the Barrie locations have licensed **** and **** technicians registered and in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario. That website can be accessed by any member of the public should you choose to look it up yourself. 2) you have never attended the other Barrie location nor have you ever had any services performed by them. They had initially offered to inspect your vehicle at NO cost to you, and instead of you accepting this goodwill offer, you chose to berate the owner of the franchise with your ongoing and ridiculous rants, ******** his business with legal liabilities and continue to fight! All they were doing was offering you assistance *** ** ****** **** **** ********** **** ********* ********** *********** You have threatened legal action against *** ****** **********, both Barrie locations ***** ****** *** **** *** ********* business ** * ** *****, Head Office, *** *********** ********* ******* **** ******** **** ******* ******** and the Ministry of Consumer and Procurement. * ***** **** ** ******* **** ** **** ********* ****** ** **** ******** ******* **** ******** *** *** ** ********** ***** *** ** *********** *** ********* ****** *** ***** ***** **** ** *** **** **** *** *** ******** ** ** ** ***** ** *** ********** ********* * **** ***** *** ** **** **** **** ** ************ *** ********** *********** *** refusal to accept free inspections and possible warranty repairs to remedy his concerns does not make any sense. Keep in mind this is all relating to alleged issues with brakes that have not been confirmed. Warranty has been offered if there is an issue with the parts or labor, however ** wants to argue and fight about moot fictitious theories. What does not make sense is you have not looked into and refuse to set up to bring in my car to inspect the rears if you are so confident it is the rears and I have offered to bring my car in but you and your owner argue and refuse to do anything I have requested and needed.
      These guys *** ***** ****** *** ***** ***** *** are trying to cover up their mistake *** ****** instead of just fixing and correcting the issue. I have responded further already and ******* *** ***** **** *** legal action is being taken if I do not receive compensation for costs and damages by end of next week.

      I recently had my car in for some repairs at the 580 Evans Ave location. During this visit I was told that my Front Shocks were leaking and they recommended replacing them. Now this is an expensive repair so I held off as I recently had this work done at another location. I made an appointment where the work was originally done and they had me bring my car in since it was still under warranty. They reviewed the Shocks and found no issue and even showed me that no repair was needed. I contacted Active Green & Ross as I wanted to know why they told me a repair was needed when it was not and they have chosen not to respond to me. I requested an update via email twice. Now this makes me wonder if the work I did get done was even necessary. I am very disappointed as I thought I could trust them. I had a few other repairs done over the past year or so and the prices have been crazy high. Another time when I had my heating system fixed I paid a ton of money and they system still does not work well. I when back in and they said it was working fine. I don't know why I even went back to this location as the quality of the work is lacking. To be honest I went there because it is close to my work. I will never take my car back to this location or any Active Green & Ross. * **** **** **** ******** * **** **** **** ***** ***** ********** So unhappy with the service.

      I am respondng from Active Green+Ross Head office. We are troubled to hear of this concern and would like to have the opportunity to address it. We would like to offer the customer another appointment time to attend for a re-inspection of the shocks with the store manager and Area Manager present. If the customer also has an invoice showing when the shocks were replaced we would appreciate him bringing that at the time of the inspection and we will address the concerns from that point.       Cannon/ hughson location in Hamilton. Everytime i bring our car in i am greeted like im family. The professional attitude,courteous manner and always very informative. The mechanics very professional, great attitude,always gives me a sense of " dont worry,we got you". My wife and I are customers for life, a little pricy but we don't mind because they have always done a great job and never any issues. Thanks guys we appreciate you! ?????????????

      Store #580 Active Green+Ross, Evans Avenue.
      On May 23rd, at 1:40pm I was charged $152 (incl tax) for a simple tyre-switch on my ***** ***, from Winter to Regular all season, they were already on rims. When I questioned the manager on duty about the exorbitant price, he said he was helpless about the cost, that he had mentioned it over the phone to me (which I do not recall) and that his boss was the decision maker.
      To prove a point, I phoned the neighbouring Active Green+Ross (Kipling) in front of him and confirmed that the price for a swap is 59:95/- on a ***** ***. Even the ***** service dealers (3 of them) said the cost for a swap was 60/-. This store #580 Evans charged me more than double!!
      I was unable to break through with the manager, he seemed determined that what is written is written, and I thought I'd do better with his Boss, since I've been a long time customer, for two of my cars. Unfortunately, instead of assuring me that they had made a mistake, he doubled down, saying that it was NOT a mistake, that the quote was mentioned to me on the phone, but as a favour he would give me a store credit. He went on to lecture me on the differences in service, likening other centres to ********, and how his mechanics were the best. I politely asked him to remove me from his customer base, at which point he kept saying, "I'm trying to help you out, what's the problem." ******* *** ** **** *** **** ********* ***** **** ******* ****** **** 
      I am so deeply disappointed by this experience, I am determined never to visit another Active Green+Ross again. Even if the cost was mentioned to me on the phone, does this mean Active Green+Ross can arbitrarily charge whatever they feel? ** ***** **** **** *** ***** ********* ** *** **** ** *********** *** ****** ********* **** ******** **** ******* *** ***** **** **** ******* ** *** *** ***** **** ******* ***

      There was a miscommuncation within the staff at the store and the price the customer was charged was not correct. On Tuesday June 13th the customer was emailed by the manager of the location and offered a refund for the excess charges. He declined. There were also phone conversations between the 2 parties, however the customer had declined any reimbursement.

      He told me that he would call the police on me if I didn’t get the work done to my vehicle that he requested as it was a safety issue.
      I fixed the vehicle which were tire rotation, tie rod ends, brake pads and oil change. Big safety issue.
      Spent $1,500 on that. A week later my front end is making ridiculous noises that were never there in the first place. He said in an email that I need to pay $120 to have it inspected. Mind you I just paid you and have warranty on the parts that you claimed you fixed but I should come out of pocket another $120.
      I called him to discuss the matter and he told me ** **** ** *** not to come to his shop and that he will not do any work on my vehicle.

      Dear Operation Manager,
      I am very disappointed with my recent visit to one of the Active Green & Ross Locations in Mississauga. I bought 4 sets of tires and had them installed on my vehicle. The job was done very unprofessionally as all of my alloy rims got badly scratched upon removal and installation. I also asked for wheel alignment and balancing. I noticed that the installed tire is hopping once I drive on the highway, starting at 60 to 70 km speed. The car alignment is still out and it's pulling Right. The steering wheel is not aligned or straight. I will visit the shop again and will check with the store manager about his opinion and how he wants to deal with these issues.
      Please let me know how should I proceed to resolve this matter.

      I went for a oil change and tire change. When I got home my oil indictator light came on. When I checked the the oil dip stick there was no oil add to my car which i had to add oil to my car myself. When I called told the them what had happened I was told something might be going on. And that I should wait 7 days to come back to the store. When I add the oil myself there is no issues now. Why am I being told to wait 7 days to get this resolved.

I have discussed this customers concern with the owner of the franchise, Joe, and he stated this matter was resolved a few days after the service was performed in April. In fact, the customer was just in for another service on July 7th (last week) and according to Joe, is pleased with the service. My concern at this point is that the customer's original service was performed on April 6th, he posted his review on April 10th, however I am only receiving the posting now - 3 months later.       Today was NOT a great experience at all! ****** ** **** ***** **** ***.
      I went to the active on west drive in Brampton.
      Started off with v*** **** customer service, when I got there for my appointment, followed by nice as pie to try and sell me a filter and cashing out. However……
      When my car was returned to me, the first sight I see it the grease all around and over the door handle, DISCUSSING! After one of the service guys cleaned it off, I then notice a scratch and a small dent on the edge of the door, so he went to get the front guy. Again the front guy was completely ignorant and denied the entire incident without one bit of investigating. I was automatically wrong. After I get in my car to leave, I then realize the mechanic that got out of my car never had any plastic or paper to protect my car from any grease stains they may have on them AND my steering wheel is covered in more dirt/grease. *** ********** This shop doesn’t have any care for their customers nor the vehicles that they “service”

      I am responding from Head Office on behalf of the franchise owner of the store where the customer received her service. The franchise owner states the following; The customer attended for an oil change service which was performed while she waited and without incident. After the service she complained about marks or scratches on the drivers door area. The manager at the time, looked at the marks and advised they could not have been caused while in the shop for the following reasons. The only possible contact the vehicle's door could have, would be with the post of the hoist. The hoist posts in the shop are red in color and if there was to be any contact with a door, there would have been a red mark, not a light grey/black mark as shown in the pictures. Secondly, when the vehicle is positioned on the hoist and prepared to be lifted, the front doors on each side of the vehicle are positioned in such a manner that the doors would not come in contact in the area where the customer is alleging the damage was caused. And finally, the picture of what appears to be similar to a fingerprint, with a very small grey/black mark, is just in front of the door handle. The door handle sticks out considerably farther than the door and even if the door was opened, and made contact with something, the door handle would hit first. While it's unfortunate the customer's vehicle may have encountered some minor marks and scratches, the franchise owner disputes these occurred while it was in for service. If the customer has evidence to support any marks or damage occurred while in for service, she is urged to provide all such evidence to the franchise owner at her convenience. Thank you.
