I own a rental house in Richmond Hill, but I do not live there. I contacted ***** ****, as they had a good reputation. My sister lives in the basement; the broken deadbolt was on the front door of apartment upstairs. A techician arrived and reported that cost would be around 349.00 plus taxes. She confirmed with me, by phone. He later said lock had to be replaced and cost would be higher. I expected around 200.00 maximum. He came downstairs and told her it was 998.00. She called me. I complained and wanted a breakdown of the costs. He said his machine was broken and the office would send an email. I waited on the phone but one did not come. I told my sister to pay the bill and I would look into. ***** **** referred me to their customer service. You could not speak to anyone. No one calls back. Both my sister and I have tried. Today a charge on my **** showed up from Check Point Door & Lock. That is not the company i hired. They have a terrible reputation for over charging. I spoke to John, their agent this morning. He finally sent me an invoice. It is bare bones. I want a reduction in the cost. Outrageous price. Not the company I would have hired. So far no one has called me back. I have contacted **** to challenge charge.
