    I hired this business in 2024 to complete HVAC work at a new duplex build at *************************************************. I was referred to them by a friend building her home at the same time. We communicated through our construction managers, TASKA. I paid each progress invoice the day after it was sent to me (see invoice and record of progress payments attached).On March 2nd, 2025, I called ****, the Owner, to discuss scheduling of the rest of the work because our construction managers were no longer working for us. There were still 3 major equipment (2 A/C and 1 heat pump split), 2 thermostats, all air vents, mechanical hook **** gas hook up, bathroom fans, duct cleaning, hood fans, etc). to be installed and laboured. He told me he would get back to me, but did not. I followed up the next day by email to summarize our conversation. He responded on March 5th, 2025 that he would send me a new contract because we were no longer working with the construction management company. I responded with my information for the contract on the same day., but no response or contract sent. I followed up by email on March 11th, 2025, no response. My dad spoke to him on the phone on March 22nd, 2025, **** told my dad that he sent me a contract but he didn't. My brother followed up on the same day by email to ask to "re-send" the contract, no response. I followed up by email on March 24th, 2025 asking whether he was going to complete the job, and still no response. He has abandoned this project, and I only owed him $8220.0 outstanding to complete the project. However, I have received 3 new quotes for the outstanding work, and all 3 of them want between ****** to ****** to complete the job. The equipment alone is $9000. He has stolen money from us, and abandoned our project and has caused us significant delays and distress. He did not give us any communication or reason for abandoning us. He is screening my calls. I just want to get my money back so I can complete this job with a professional.
