    When purchasing a vehicle from this dealer, I sent a $2000 deposit and I received a receipt and a breakdown of the purchase price etc. There was an unspecified sum of $900 in the summary. When I questioned the salesperson about this amount, he told me it was for a Vehicle Safety Inspection Certificate. I explained to him that this was an unacceptable amount for a vehicle safety, but he was adamant that I was misinformed and this was an absolute requirement to register a vehicle. I called 4 dealerships to inquire about this, and nobody has any idea what this fee is for. When I once again explained to him that all that is required to register the vehicle is a standard Vehicle Safety Certificate issued by a licensed mechanic, he was adamant that this was a requirement but offered to shave $350 off of the fee. I offered to buy the vehicle with permits and bring it back to my mechanic for a safety by my mechanic, his response was that if I did that, that would void any warranty they provide and would not take the vehicle back, if a major issue was found, and would not be prepared to offer any assistance with assistance to repair any problem my mechanic might find with the vehicle. I have got my deposit back and moved on, but I think buyers should be aware of the practices and policies of this dealership ****** ********** * ******* **** ****.
