  *** was to fill in a hedge with new cedars and he said 5 would do and he would dig down in the soil as it was **** like and put fresh soil and plant the trees the same height as the others and trim the tops to all ****** and make them even. The job took less than 2 hours. That was on Oct 18 th. I called him and said I was not satisfied with the job as he had put 3 trees, not five and had not dug down and put only a couple of inches of soil on top. He called me back and was angry at me for calling to say 8 was not happy and swore at me and hung up. The next day he dropped off a bill for ****** but we had agreed on a ****** with taxes in originally. On Oct 21st we had rain all night and 1 tree fell over, so I called him and he accused me of pulling the tree down, and I again told him h needed to do the job properly and he got very rude and angry and told me ( f..k y.u) and again hung up on me. On the Oct. 22/23 he came without telling me and replanted the tree and my husband went to speak with him and he ignored him and walked pass him and left

  Timeline and Events

  - Sept.1/2023 Topped cedar hedge and side dressed cedar hedge. Pulled out 3 existing dead cedars.

  -Oct.17/2023 *********** called and was asking for timelines for the planting. She explained that 7 or 8 cedars would be good to fill in the area. The original discussion in the quote was 3-4 cedars 4ft in height would be supplied.

  -Oct.19/2023 Picked up cedars and miracle grow soil. Holes were in place due to previous removal area was squared of trees planted and compacted. Customer looked at the job and said she did not have the money at that time so I left.

  -Oct.21/2023 customer calls and states she was not happy. I returned her call to see what the problem was. ********** stated that I was there for probably just over 2hrs and she felt that I was making too much money and she didnt want to pay that much. She also said that I had promised to stiffen and straighten her 400 feet of ******. She said the cedars were not in the ground and they had also fell over. I trimmed the ****** 8 weeks before this and there was no complaint. I was not pleased and did not say what she stated.

  I told her I would return to assess fallen cedars and the only reason is she just didnt want to pay her bill.

  -Oct.22/2023 took pictures of cedars that she obviously pulled out. I replanted and used more soil and left the bill at the door.

  -Oct.23/2023 I receive a call from ********** she explains that the cedars fell over again. I accused her of pulling out the trees again. Again I returned replanted and this time used rope to secure. I brought staff with me at this time so I would have a witness if the customers accuse me of something else. The husband did walk outside and there was no conversation.

   

  I will not be returning to this property as I dont believe they would pay their bill and will only pay what she thinks per hour.

  I am rejecting this response because:
  
  *********** is a liar.  I have plenty of money to pay for work that is done.  First of all **** came and wanted cash so he wouldnt pay taxes.  He came on a Thursday, a day earlier than he said he would but I didnt have the cash and he said later is fine.  After he left I looked out and there was no change to that area.  He said he would fill the empty spaces with trees but he planted 3 small 4 ft trees. Among my 7-8 ft trees. He did not turn fresh soil among the trees, only the 3 he planted.  I will send you a photo of the finished job and you can be the judge if they look even to the other trees there.
  The day after he planted the 3 trees, the bigger of the 3 blew over, so I calledLyle and told him I was not happy with his job and not what we had discussed, and the fallen tree and he accused me of pulling the tree down, and swore at me and said f** y-u, and he hung up on me.  He came the next day and planted that tree and was rude and ignored my husband wo had gone out to talk to him and left.  I called later and again said he did a poor job and not what we had discussed and he again told me to f y and hung up.
  Later he came and put a bill in my door adding taxes. And 20% interest to be added on each month.  After the 2 nd bill including another 20%, I wrote him and offered him payment for his 3 trees 1 3/4 hrs of work time and top soil.  But he didnt respond.  My sister called him and that I wanted to pay him but not what he wanted which he claimed ****** in his last bill, and he said he was going to a collection agency to collect.  
  I am an 80 yr old with health issues and never had a problem in my life like this and his rudeness and cursing at me had me frightened and losing sleep.  I decided my reputation was not worth this and sent him a check in the mail for the original agreement even though I feel scammed as he does not deserve full payment for a lousy job.
  I put payment in full on check and will never recommend this man again as I gave 3 neighbors references and they hired him to cut down huge trees which he did well.  
  I have a gardener that helps me year round that would have done a better job, at  ***** an hr. But I hired **** because he said he was an arborist and woul do a lovely job and I would be happy.
  Thank you so much for getting back to me as theres 2 sides to every story and this man is a liar and very rude.
