I started Mikes program in September of 2024. We had our first in car ****** on the 14th of March, two months after I received my G1. Already, his lack of responsibility of getting back to me was showing. He then canceled on me for the following ******. I had a second one, very nice in person, no complaints there. He cancels on me two more times. My 3rd and last ****** with him was on March 24th, and he canceled for the 27th because he wanted to hold off on the rest of my ******s until closer to the date of receiving my G2. July 16th, I reach out to finish my hours. He asks me to send my availability, so I do, and I tell him I will book off time from work to see him if he gives me a date. Then, nothing. July 27th, I reach out. Hey do you need my new availability for this week? I dont wanna leave things too late! No rush, but I want to do a ****** or 2 soon! Hey states hes away. Then August 15th he asks for my availability, I send it two hours later. Then August 19 he says his dad has passed and needs time. He gives me a time on the 22nd that didnt work, I worked at 7am, which he could see on my availability and asked for 9:50am, clearly will not work. Then he doesnt get back to me when I say it doesnt work. Sept 5th : hey I can get my licence very soon and would like to finish up my hours. I have a spare 4th period if that helps. I send a picture of my licence and he tells me that my time for in class ******s expire on the 14th and he wont try to fit me in within the next 10 days. Hes then very rude and says whose fault is it that you couldnt commit to only 10 hours in 1 year? It was his fault for not giving me my hours, cancelled more time than he gave me and blames me for it. He was in it for the money and scammed ME $800 dollars that was my money, not my parents. Im very upset and I believe it is not my fault. I would either like something done about the situation or get my money back.

    Hi ****,

    I hope all is well.

Every student and parent is given a parent/student information package that clearly states the requirements of Driving School and the **** This is the first thing we go over with students at the start of day 1. It states that students have 1 year to complete the Program per *** regulations, and that we reserve the right to reschedule student lessons due to weather, road tests, road test reviews, or other emergencies.  Students are required to sign the form acknowledging that we went over the rules. Students also do a quiz later in the day yo see if they know the rules and time requirements. Brooklyn answered the questions correctly so she was aware of the 1 year deadline, and that we were booking in car lessons 2-4 weeks in advance.

She entered our Program in September 2024, but her first contact with us wasn't until January 2025. We tried booking her in numerous times bu she only gave limited availability, usually only a week in advance. She was encouraged to book in advance like everyone else. She mentioned that I cancelled a couple times, but negated to indicate that she turned downed bookings for herself. I did cancel for a road test, mom in and out of emergency until she was placed in a long term care facility, the dad had a massive stroke and passed away a few days later. As Brooklyn's 1 year deadline got closer, I requested a copy of her licence on September 05, 2025 to try to avert her deadline passing. She didn't send it until the day before her deadline, so there was no time left to get her lessons in. Then she started sending me aggressive, threatening, texts with false information putting all the blame on me. Then she had an unidentified acquaintance start sending me very long aggressive, threatening texts, with more false information. It got to the point where I then had to block both of their numbers.

We have been voted #1 Driving School the past 6 years in a row, and have been voted best overall teacher the past 3 years in a row so we are not in the habit of "stealing" from our students. If fact we have always gone above and beyond to help our students, and the community.

Brooklyn could have easily completed the Program in time had she followed the rules and requirements like everyone else.

Please contact me if you require any further information.

    Take Care,

I am rejecting this response because:

For starters, **** continues to fail to mention that he told me to hold off on lessons until further notice, he never reached out to me, like he shouldve done because its his business and he should be keeping track! So I reached out to him, he couldve clearly stated to me sending my schedule one or two weeks in advance did not work for him and I would have made adjustments. There is proof in our text messages provided earlier that I would book time off of work for him, and that I had an spare period at school and he had the times for that, all he had to do was give me certain dates that worked for him. That is his job, and he very clearly failed to do so. Yes, I am blaming him, he did not hold up his end of the deal. There have been many complaints from friends of mine AND on his website about him not being reliable and fair with hours. Of course I was upset, he just ripped me off by $800, he says I threatened him but in reality the only threat I have ever sent him was that I would have this situation taken further, which is why *** reached out to this business for help. I had one of the family members I was living with reach out to him and state all the time stamps of our conversation, proving that he is in the wrong and needs to finish his job. No threats there at all. I did not receive my license until January, he was correct there, but had several months to give me hours and never did. If he knew he was so busy, he never shouldve told me to hold off on lessons. He also states that I failed to mention that I had canceled bookings (plural), I canceled once, and you could clearly see on my schedule that it did not work, he was not paying attention, which was not my fault. I do not think he handled this professionally, I do not think he is reliable, I spent hundreds of dollars towards his company and I received nothing from it, which is very upsetting. I am a student in high school, hoping to go to post-secondary next year, I hoped to have my license and a lower insurance, but instead I am left with no license and down $800 for no reason, at his hands. That is cruel and unfair, he claims to be a top professional business, but ask anyone in town and youll hear more bad than good about him. I admit that I had the time to get my license before January, but there were complications in my family about it and other factors. I admit that I reviewed a handbook and knew the conditions, but not once did I cancel on him, threaten him, or speak aggressively. But now I am frustrated that he fails to see his fault here. I know my wrongdoings, why cant this professional and seeked-out man recognize his own?

    Sincerely,

    Brooklyn *****-*********

Had she contacted me and sent a picture of her licence when requested, we would have been able to complete her remaining hours in time, but she waited until her deadline was 2 days away, leaving us no time. She must take responsibility for her actions as well.

She can do the in class for free and complete her in car, or I will calculate a refund. That is the Government and Driving School requirements.
