      I just purchased a house and wanted to do survey to find my pins. I contacted Callon Dietz, they said they were very busy and would start the survey in 6 weeks and at this time I advised that I had a survey from my neighbour that they could use that showed our adjoining properties and they said this would be helpful. They wanted the money upfront for the survey via etransfer so I sent them the etransfer for 2768.50 on Thursday Oct 27th, 2022. T

      Then on the weekend we decided to rent a metal detector on saturday Oct 29th and found our pins ourselves. I called Callon Dietz on Sunday Oct 30th to cancel the survey however their office was closed and so I left a voicemail for them to call me back but they did not. So, I called again on Monday Oct 31st and they advised that they will cancel and return the money.

      They advised me via email that there was a charge as they already did work on my request and that they would send me a cheque for 2419.61 which is a difference of 348.89. I was really surprised because they told me it would be at least 6 weeks till they got to my survey and I had just sent them the etransfer on ThursdayOct 27th which was a Thursday so that means they picked it up right away (? they said they were too busy).

      They only had the request for one business day (Friday Oct 28th) as they dont work on Saturday and Sunday and I cancelled on Sunday Oct 30th and then called first thing in the morning on Monday Oct 31st. They told me they were too busy to start it and that they could only do it in 6 weeks so how could they bill me for this? I sent the money on Thursday Oct 27th via etransfer, then cancelled on Sunday Oct 30th via voicemail and followed up on Monday Oct 31st and still I got charged?

      I contacted them to discuss the charge of $348.89 and they did talk my call but said this was office work and sent me a email detailing the office work. I did not agree as I mentioned that they previously advised they could not get to the work for 6 weeks as they are so busy. Then they told me its because they pulled the survey of the adjoining neighbours property but then I told them that I advised I already had that survey but they said they still needed to do that.

      I still did not agree with this excessive charge so I called ***** ****** and he continued to validate the charge so I advised I would be happy if at least he considered lowering the charge and he did not agree to this however he did say he would pass it by the owner and that the owner is currently in Florida but that he would personally phone me. So, I agreed to this and ***** advised that the owner was good at calling customers and that I should have a call within a day. I was encouraged by this and agreed. A week passed and no calls so I then called ***** back and he told me he will remind the owner to call me and I should get a call from him for sure. Another week passed and still nothing so I called ***** again and he kept telling me the same thing. The holidays came and I let it go as its a busy time and then today I called ***** and he advised me that the owner agrees with him and feels the charge is accurate and wont call me back. At this point, I was not pleased as I was mislead and I feel I was also lied to by *****. This is why I'm filing a complaint against this company.
