Last year I purchased new tires and rims from Canadian Tire in **************. I am a long time loyal customer and use them frequently for things like tires. I paid a free for them to store them for me.When I called to have my tires installed in the fall, the man on the phone said the system was not showing that I had tires. I asked him to take a look for me and he did not call me back. I waited a few days, called again and left a message. No call back. I was close to the date when I needed them, so I made an online appointment and then left another message asking for a call back. Waited a few days - called again.. again no answer or call back so I cancelled appt and went elsewhere as I could not wait.I got a voicemail finally in JANUARY saying my tires are there and what should they do with them. I called the manager who said he would look into it, but he did not call me back. A week later I phoned him and he said because I cancelled the appt, this is on me and that he did not believe me that nobody called me back.I called corporate to complain, but because this location is privately operated they cant do anything: they did tell me that the manager feels they did nothing wrong. I would like my money back for storage and pro-rated refund for the cost of tires/rims as I would have to pay to store them and I no longer need them because I was forced to purchase new tires.

    Customer Answer

I was contacted by the business, a lady was talking to me about the complaint I made here. In the conversation she was placing blame on the situation solely on me. This makes little sense, if the business says that they didn't have the tires for months, what am I expected to do exactly? She was polite, but the whole time she was pointing the finger at me, mentioned they were short staffed, gave me what their protocol is, but none of that is accurate, this is not my fault in any way. Im not even asking the full amount of the 2000, I just want it prorated, or even pay off the remaining amount. I had to end up getting new tires due to this. No one ever called me back, so that is certainly not on me. She had mentioned if I continued to call back I would have eventually if I called a manager. I was under the impression the managers would be handling phone conversations like this.

I then get a call the next day asking what I want to do with the tires. Ultimately they are not owning up to the mix up, I just want a prorate refund and this to be done.

I have contacted ****** **** and will look after this internally and with our Customer Relations Team.

****** Fords tires were received from the tire storage company on November 6th at 15:44.

Angela had scheduled an appointment for winter tire change over and oil change for November 9th at 13:00

Appointment was  canceled on November 9th and at that time did not reschedule.

On November 13 ****** purchased and installed tires at another shop.

In the business of the season with the constant ebb and flow of tires we did not reach out to her after her canceled appointment until February 3rd.
