In August of 2021 I had new shingles installed on my roof by A professional roofing company called northern roofing. Two days after completion of the roof I was back from work and noticed irregular colour patterns in the new shingles. Roofing company was called to come take a look, and he also agreed that it didn't look right, assuming there had been different colours of shingles delivered to house and installed on roof at random spots. Roofing company advised me to call IKO shingles to start a claim to have the shingles replaced. I did this in early September, and was told from the beginning that they would not do any fir me until roofing company was paid in full. I told them I was unwilling to pay until I had a solution to having the new shingles replaced because that was the only leverage I had to get this problem fixed. After almost 3 months of emails and phone calls with IKO shingles this weeks they said they would replace my shingles but it would my responsibility to remove and disposal of them. I didn't agree that I should have to pay extra to have my shingles fixed, as this is 100% their problem. Yesterday they emailed me a letter saying their singles are fine and they will not be replacing them, so looks like I will be stuck with 100% of the bill to have shingles fixed which will be same as getting roof done in the first place, I talked to two home builders I know and they say they have never seen or heard talk of a situation like this before with odd colour shingles being installed on a roof. I just want the shingle company IKO to warranty and fix my shingles proper at no cost to me this is their problem not mine
