On February 14, 2024, BBB contacted the business regarding claims made on its website and online advertising and requested they be substantiated, modified, or discontinued.
BBB noted that this business is advertising a sale of “$1500 off for spring booking” on their website. BBB’s Code of Advertising states that retailers can advertise “sales” where they are offering a significant reduction in price for a limited period of time. If companies continually advertise the same discount on a service, then it does not represent actual savings. BBB was unable to locate an expiry date on the offer.
The business also advertises “25 Years Experience” and “For Over 25 Years…” however, BBB has not been able to find anything to substantiate this date.
The business advertises "100% Satisfaction”, "100 percent guaranteed…”, “we stand 100% behind our work.” and “guarantee 100%...". When using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” the advertiser should clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty or “guarantee” can be seen prior to the sale, which could include posting it on the seller’s website. Advertisers should disclose any material limitations.
The business advertises "Lowest Price Guarantee". Advertisers should avoid making unqualified lowest prices claims. One appropriate qualification is to promise truthfully that the advertiser will meet or beat a lower price sold by others.
The business makes several references to rebates and discounts. Rebate promotions must clearly and conspicuously state the before rebate cost, as well as the amount of the rebate. Rebate promotions also must clearly and conspicuously disclose any additional terms and conditions that consumers need to know, including the key terms of any purchase requirements, additional fees, and when consumers can expect to receive their rebate.
