On August 9, 2024, I had an appointment for a permanent makeup procedure on my eyebrows. The procedure included a combination of Microblading and Ombr Shading. I reviewed the artists website and thought her examples of work and pricing was to my satisfaction. The idea is to have your desired eyebrow shape permanently, a solution that I have been thinking about and wanted for years. I finally felt I could afford to spend this on myself and now was the time to finally do it. I come from a corporate advertising background and briefing a creative person is something that I am versed in. Firstly, when I arrived, she asked what type of method I would like and the visual references I purposely chose from her own work that she posted on her website, that was she is familiar first hand with the examples we talked about. She is the expert in this line of work so from this point on, I am leaning on her expertise and knowledge. The first thing I found odd is that the procedure only took half the time that she had blocked. At the end of the session, I looked in the mirror, Im taking in a lot, my skin is swollen, red plus she is talking to me about whats shes down, how to trust the process and not to freak out if Im noticing imperfections and mentioned another client had freaked out and she reminded her to trust the process. I left with 2 very differently shaped eyebrows and as the expert she says she is, she looked at me square on and it was obvious. My brows were not the same as the examples on her site. She made a huge design flaw which I made her aware of the next day, she immediately got defensive and started blaming me - the customer. It was absurd, she accepted no responsibility. I was booked for a touch up appointment which I attended on Aug 27, my daughter came with me since I was affected very negatively. I was very displeased with her work and wanted my right brow fixed which she said shed do, I am still left disfigured with 2 very different shaped brows.

    Good morning,

I have an existing complaint, I wanted to make an update as my issue has worsened.

I have contact several esthetician and skincare specialists in the Belleville area. I have explained my circumstance in hopes of finding a corrective and I have been informed that even laser removal or professional grade saline solutions will not help. I’ve also been advised thus far, that covering up the brow with a similar micro blading/ombré shading will create too much scar tissue given how Hillside Brows by Kat originally performed this procedure. I may be left with this permanently.

I have emails from the several specialists I’ve been in contact with, in hopes of finding a corrective solution, if they are required.

Thank you for any help you can provide. This woman should not be able to continue her business if she is making mistakes in her method that she has no ownership of and to date, I can’t find anyone who can help me undo or coverup her flaw.

    Thank you,
    Casey Haig
