      Business Response

      Date: 08/09/2025

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

We are writing in response to a complaint filed ( ID ******** ) regarding services performed at the residence of ********* (******) *********, following a flood event caused by a burst pipe in the basement. We would like to provide clarification regarding the scope of our work, the procedures followed, and our contractual responsibilities.

      Work Performed:
We were contacted by the complainant’s insurance company to address water damage from the burst pipe. Upon arrival, we found the basement contained numerous personal belongings belonging solely to the insured. Items identified as salvageable—primarily articles of clothing and several Persian rugs—were professionally cleaned and returned to the insured in restored condition.

Items that were determined to be non-salvageable were documented and reported to the insurance provider, in accordance with their claims processing procedures. The insured opted to personally retain and clean certain items herself rather than have them processed through our vendor. In these cases, we informed her that any reimbursement or compensation for her personal efforts would need to be addressed directly with her adjuster/insurance company.
It should be noted that the insured also disposed of some of her own belongings independently. Such disposal requires photo documentation to support compensation or replacement value. We advised the insured accordingly.

      Misunderstanding Regarding Returned Items:
Upon return of the dry-cleaned items, the insured informed our technicians that she no longer wanted them and considered them garbage. Unfortunately – the cost to replace items is far greater than cleaning them. We cleaned the items and returned them. The decision to retain or dispose of such items remains with the insured. Any questions regarding reimbursement or compensation fall under the purview of the insurance provider.

Any remaining concerns regarding coverage, compensation, or value assessments should be directed to the insured’s insurance provider.
We remain committed to transparency, accountability, and service quality, and we appreciate the opportunity to respond to this matter.
