On March 10, 2025, BBB Serving the Atlantic Provinces sent a letter to Marshall Law Driving Academy to their email address indicated on their website.
Receiving no response, BBB sent a second email on March 24, 2025 to the business.
The letters were prompted by recent complaints received by BBB as well as several phone inquires by consumers.
Consumers report :Failure to Provide Scheduled Driving Lessons – Consumers stated that Marshall Law Driving Academy did not provide driving hours within a reasonable time, avoided calls, and frequently canceled appointments last minute. Some students were left with incomplete hours, missing their eligibility for a full license.
Threats and Poor Customer Service – When questioned about delays and incomplete services, an instructor reportedly threatened to block customers instead of addressing their concerns.
Lack of Refunds for Unfulfilled Services – Consumers who requested refunds for undelivered lessons or canceled courses were denied refunds, with the business citing its refund policies despite failing to provide the promised services.
Failure to Provide Completion Certificates – Several students completed their driver training courses but never received the necessary certificates. This lack of documentation prevented them from obtaining licensing benefits, such as reduced insurance rates and license upgrades. Despite multiple emails, phone calls, and proof of payment submissions, the business failed to respond or resolve the issue.
