    ******, owner/operator of Amped, quoted my mother nearly $4k for work on her property that included trimming trees, removing dead limbs, and hauling this debris away. When I learned about his price, I went out to the house and did the majority of the trimming and dead limb removal myself. I piled everything in a large pile as best as I could at the top of the driveway. I then contacted ****** to tell him what I already did, I told him what remained to be done, and I asked him to adjust the price of the quote. He said my mother had only given him half of the original quoted amount up front and it should be fine. He ended up billing her for the entire amount of the original quote, and therefore work that he did not do. He has since not only admitted that he took the opportunity to take advantage of my mother, an old woman, and screw her out of her money, he also discriminated against me as a woman when I called him out for his disgusting behavior. I have this all on text message. I would like my mother refunded for the entire amount, for the work he did not do, for her pain and suffering, and to deter any future malicious conduct.

    Amped Property Services values every customer and regrets any misunderstanding. The original quote covered a fixed scope of work, but after some trimming was completed by a family member, we agreed to adjust and continue on an hourly basis, adding other tree trimming around the yard as requested. Our goal has always been fair pricing and clear communication, and we are happy to review the invoice with the homeowner to ensure full satisfaction.

     I am rejecting this response because:


    I did the majority of the work that Amped was going to do after I found out they were going to charge my mother $3200 for the job. I informed the owner of Amped that the scope of the work had changed (see text messages) and would require a price adjustment. He agreed. There was no agreement to continue on an hourly basis and they did not add work to the original scope of work. They, in fact, neglected to take any dead limbs out of the trees in the front of the house and by the driveway as per the original quote (see text). If they decided to do additional work it was neither agreed upon by myself nor my mother. Not only did they proceed to charge my mother the entire amount for the original scope of work, they increased the price. Since the majority of the work was done by me, we require a refund of the original amount in its entirety to make the situation right and to deter any future malicious conduct, and I and my mother will never hire this ***** again.
