Absolutely great experience with these guys! Moved from southern Ontario to Alberta, guys were courteous, professional and prompt. They wrapped almost everything that wasn't already in a box in a moving blanket and tetris-ed it onto the truck. Only took 3 days to get out there! No surprises in the price, thankfully paid Alberta tax as it was the receiving destination.

The team we had on both sidesof our move was great! Very friendly and helpful people! Our delivery was a couple of days past what we expected, but we maintained good communication throughout. We actually enjoyed our experience very much!

If I could give them 0 stars, I would! Please be so careful if you are thinking of using this company. We were planning a cross country move and they called us several times to get us to book in with them as our movers. They went on and on about how they are BBB accredited, and were very personable and charming. Once we paid our deposit…radio silence. When we finally managed to get in touch with them (very close to our move date) they said they wouldn’t have movers within two weeks of our move date, if at all. They stated they could look for alternatives, but it would come out of our pockets. We had previously had a quote for $8000 from Pods, but went with TLC movers as they had quoted us less. We ended up having to book with Pods, which now cost us $13,000 as it was so close to our move.
Honestly, one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Appalling that we had no recourse besides getting our deposit back. Basically, it cost us $5000 more to move than if we had not booked with them in the first place. I felt so duped by this company. Be careful!

TLC Movers is just a sales company and they vanish as soon as payment is made and you are at the mercy of some transportation company. My household stuff and Car was picked from Mississauga, Ontario on Dec 5th 2022 and was promised to be delivered at Calgary, AB in two weeks. Upon follow up they say, everything is still sitting in Cambridge, ON yard even after 2 weeks and is anticipated to leave in the week of Dec 27th. No one is telling me the whereabouts of my car which was picked up on the same day by them. Certainly not professional at all if they can’t keep their commitments. Won’t recommend their services to anyone.

I would avoid using TLC movers at all costs.
it was only after going through things days after unpacking we noticed stolen items.
We tipped the three guys a $100.00 cash each and provided refreshments, I'm pretty sure it was the driver on the BC leg that stole things as we moved from Ontario. He also told me also he doesn't adhere to clocking on and off as a professional driver and told me he puts down he is visiting a friend but really doing deliveries.
I am sure **** is a nice guy but because he uses crooks he has lost my future business.

I would wait until you have gone through every box to make sure. Then if you don’t find it, I would recommend you contact your driver on the number he called you from prior to delivery to ask about a missing box so he can check the truck?

Is the box labelled with a number or with the listed contents? Was the box sealed?

Did you call the dispatch number I provided to notify them so they could get on it for you?

There is a possibility that maybe it was not unloaded. You have a lot nicer things that just a paint sprayer. If any dishonest person was going to take things from a move, I can’t see them taking one random box. Or opening just one box and taking a paint sprayer.. it just doesn’t make sense.

There is not much else to do besides the above

I hope all is well in your new place and that you are settling in nicely.

*** ***** told me ETA will be a week, but when I called dispatch ***** it will take 12 days and then ****** Dispatch told me its more than 12 days because they haven't even shipped our items even though it was paid out and it is passed what the ETA should have been. ****** told the movers to go to the wrong address in Nova Scotia. Its Moncton, not Nova Scotia as per driver. It was even in the invoice. How careless. No excuse for that. They didn't come between 9-11 am on delivery date as she said. They came later than that and I could not get a hold of *** or anybody except for dispatch *****. For them coming late at 5pm. it was raining hard. They couldn't even bring our dining room table in the house. The way they loaded our items. They broke our computer table; they broke our coffee table and our dining room table's legs. They also broke a lot of our picture frames. They ripped our tool bags and most importantly the shelves for our TV stand are missing!! Not impressed. Everything was paid in full, so I don't understand at all why all the problems with this move. Especially when this company have all this amazing 4 stars review when I don't see how. I've had an awful experience with this company. Lastly, my husband had to help your movers bring everything in as they ran late already, and it was raining hard and we dont want any more of our items to be damaged. Our live edge dining room table alone cost $4,000. The way the warehouse stacked the table. They snapped the bolts off the legs and the legs was impossible to come off until my husband had to rip off the legs. Those table leg costed us $300 on top of the table itself. The wheels on our shop vaccuum were missing. We are frustrated as our relocation experience from Ontario To New Brunswick has been horrible and will never hire a moving company ever again.

Booked company, did pick up July 21/22 in Ontario. I was told 4-12 days delivery. Move into house in NS Aug 3/22 . Delivery Sept 2/22 . Had 2 people fly in the week after the 12 day limit and nothing to help unpack. Delivery company changed delivery on bill of landing to carriers convenience without telling me (shady) . Delivery company says you signed it so to bad . Also has lots of broken items , water damage on mattress.
They refused my claim because I signed bill of landing and the weight of broken items didn’t exceed the $300. claim limit . I was expecting some damage but not the huge delay which cost me money .

We are very sorry for the delay in delivering your move on time sometimes it just can not be helped. Because of Covid 19 this year’s peak season has been the most difficult moving season in history, which is a direct reflection of the restate market and housing crisis in Canada. There are simply to many people moving and not enough workers and trucks to support the increase in moves caused by this influx. Moving trucks from every company have been experiencing issues with the crew catching Covid 19 .When most people were locked down from Covid 19 our crew went to homes where the were more likely to catch Covid 19, many did, when they did they were no longer able to go to other homes for pickups as a result there were labour shortages, which means the drivers must do more heavy lifting than ever. If we over work our drivers when they do not have enough support for loading and unloading, we will not have drivers to deliver at all. Please note that unloading and loading homes is one of the most physically demanding jobs out there, and we appreciate those who do this for the moving companies. We apologize that the delivery was not within the projected delivery window but overworking the movers in peak season when they are already working a taxing job is simply not an option, which means at times deliveries can run late. All moving companies are scrambling for extra labor workers during peak season, and would higher more on, if there were any available. As stated before, parts for trucks are also hard to get at the moment and need to be shipped from the USA in most cases which delays the moving process

Yes Covid is a thing for everyone in this world but it’s not as bad as it once was . We all know stuff happens but when you switch a agreed delivery date to Carriers Convenience on the bill of lading without informing the customer it’s just plain wrong . The company is just trying to get out of giving the customer a refund under #6 Delay listed on the Conditions of Carriage . The week my stuff should have been delivered I talked to the truck driver and he told me he was on vacation in Newfoundland and the company knew about it and was supposed to get another driver to do the delivery’s. If the company was honest and told me I could of had my people flying in from Ontario to delay their flight but they did not choose this route . When you leave people without their things so your spending extra money to live while sleeping for a month on a air mattress a sorry is just too easy and free to say . Your company got paid , delivery company got paid and the customer gets screwed as always .

Cheryl, and the moving team were absolutely amazing to work with, and made the whole process so smooth and stress free. I contacted ****** late in August hoping to secure dates early September to move into our new place. We were moving from NB to NS, and the first moving company we booked bailed on us. We were a family of three and I was 8 months pregnant. ****** immediately jumped into action and was sending me dates and quotes right away. She was extremely responsive and super friendly and helpful to work with - she truly saved the day for our family. The moving team she booked for us were fabulous, they were on time for the pick up and drop off of our belongings, they were easy to reach if I had a question, and they were super friendly. All of our belongings arrived quickly and with zero damage, and all for a very reasonable price. We are so thankful for this group and how easy they made this process for our family! We will be using them again for our next move, and would highly recommend to others.
