    On June 6 I took out a loan that paid Z's financing $15000 for a central HVAC system as well as a hot water heater. This was a "bridge loan" until I had secured a greener homes loan which they told me I would be approved for but would only come in after completion of installation and so this loan allowed them to get started. I was to have an energy audit completed, which I did on June 15 and when the audit was finalized I was to send it to them and they would set up a date for installation. They also stated they would pay the bridge loan via e transfer each month until the greener homes loan came in. They sent me the first e transfer for the first payment June 14, 2025. My energy audit came back the first week of July. I tried to contact the sales rep and did not receive a reply. I tried calling the company number, no reply. I emailed the owner's email I received from the financing company, no reply. They have my money, I have no product and am out $15000. There are several families from my area in the same situation.

    They took a deposit for an electrical panel upgrade $2,500, and did not install it and they have since stopped responding to their customers and from my understanding they are no longer in business and did not give any of their customers notice or their money back. Hundreds of people are now out thousands of dollars with no service provided and no way to contact them as they have discounted their phones.

    Zs Heating and Cooling, Nova Scotia approached me on June 9th for the heat pump installation and assured me that the government will rebate the costs.
    They made me sign an agreement with *** Canada for the bridge loan and the installation was done on 19th June approximately.

    They assured me via email that Zs heating will reimburse me the monthly fee I pay to *** Canada for up to 6 months or until the rebate is paid back.

    *** billed me $526 and I tried to follow up with Zs heating for the reimbursement and they are not answering.

    I tried to follow up with all the contacts I have and no one is responding. I called a number on ****** and the person who answered is from the US but not related to this company but has the same name and he said he got 100s of calls from many people saying the same thing.

    The company came to our house on June 5, 2025. We signed a contract for a ducted heat pump, they had us sign a loan through **** Canada for $22,500, with a promise of sending us an e-transfer for the first 6 months to cover the payments until the federal loan program would take effect. We did receive the first payment, however we did not receive the second payment. We have such learnt the company went out of business, multiple attempts have been made to contact the owner with no answer.

    Company books appointments and workers do not show up for appointments. Waited all afternoon for scheduled appointment and no one showed up, no one would answer the phone or voicemails at the admin office over several hours and will not respond to emails.
    Company also made me take out a bridge loan and promised I would not have to do anything with it and they would cover the payments until my rebates came in and now will not send the money to cover the bridge loan. Company makes clients repeatedly take time off work for appointments and workers do not show up or show up three hours late. Company charging thousands of dollars for a product plus costing clients money on a bridge loan for nothing, lost work hours and time waiting for workers. Admin staff refuses to answer phones during regular working hours or respond to voicemail

    Hello, I’d like to report a possible fraud.
    A man named N***** M******** from Z’s Heating & Cooling at 99 Wyse Road, Dartmouth came to my house and offered to install a heat pump. He said the government would reimburse the cost, and he helped me apply for a $30,000 loan through H*** Finance. He promised his company would pay me back monthly.

    He collected my documents like my NOA, property tax bill, and electric bill. But after the installation and loan approval, I didn’t get any payment. He claimed e-transfers were delayed, but now the company is empty and I can’t reach him. E********* N*** S***** told me they’re not a registered partner. I believe I may have been scammed.
