On October 18, 2023 I purchased a 2024 Chev Trax from CYV. The price was roughly $31,000. They took my then vehicle, 2017 **** Escape, as trade paid off the loan on it. I also bought a set of winter tires for the new Trax as I was told I'd get a discount of $200 on them. The grand total was approx. $48,000. About a week later, I was at CYV with my daughter who bought a vehicle from them as well because I advised her to buy there. She confirmed that she wanted winter tires as well and was asked by ***** if she wanted rims and sensors as well. I mentioned at that point I wasn't offered rims and sensors when I bought mine. ***** said that it was because I bought a new vehicle(my daughter bought used vehicle) and when you buy new, rims and sensors came with it automatically witj winter tires and that is why **** hadn't offered because it was automatically included. A bonus for buying new. CYV called yesterday, November 7, to tell me my winter tires were in. They do not have rims or sensors. When I asked **** about it and told him the conversation with *****, he said simply that rims and sensors didn't come with tires. But if I wanted them he'd get ***** to price them and they could possibly get me a deal on them to help me out. This was at 10 36 am yesterday morning and haven't received a call back from ***** or anyone about rims and possible discount. I haven't even received an apology from *****, **** or anyone for the wrong information ***** gave me. I think I should be given rims and sensors for my winter tires where it was ***** who messed things up. I bought my new vehicle there and convinced my daughter to buy hers there when she was thinking of going elsewhere. Between my daughter and I we spent close to $100, 000 in a week at CYV. I didn't make the mistake, ***** did. Had I had known there were no rims and sensors coming with my winter tires, I would have bought elsewhere, where I could have gotten for less.

On june 22 2023, I was traveling through the eastern provinces of Canada. The night before taking my vehicle to GM I had experienced an issue with my steering. It felt tight and the "return to straight" (memory steering) didn't return when the steering wheel was let go of in a corner.
I brought my GMC Seirra to a GMC dealership hoping that they knew what the issue could be. I had them inspect my truck while I mentioned to them that I recently had a left upper ball joint installed 3 days ago (a day before my trip began) but hasn't given me any issues until now. I googled what the issue could be so I just mentioned it to them. They put my truck up on a hoist and looked under it for about a half hour. Came back to say that I need and I quote. "both inner tie rod ends, idler arms, pitman arms, steering box, all 4 tires and power steering line need to be replaced. Also found the transmission cooling lines to be hitting the idler arm". Before my journey I had my truck looked over by a mechanic where I live that has been doing work on my truck for the last 6 years. He told me about the Trans. Cooling lines before I left. Other then that my truck was good to travel with. After hearing that it needed all that replaced I suggested that they just to do a wheel alignment. They had advised me that they can not do a wheel alinment without fixing the issues first because it would revert my issues back and they couldn't guarantee the work. After getting the cooling lines replaced, I took my truck to OK tire down the road and they said that the issue with my steering was that I had a seized U joint on the steering column. He sprayed a bit of WD 40 on the joint and it fixed the issue immediately. They charged me $20 to look at it and spray. I had them look at the other issues and they said that the parts had wear in them but don't Warrent fixing for another 80k. They did a wheel alinment, I finished my drive

I have run out of space and have much more to say about my experience.

We are disappointed to hear the customers dissatisfaction with our service.  As a provincial licensed garage, we have a responsibility to ensure our customers leave with a safe and reliable vehicle.  When the customer visited us with his concern of the steering being tight while travelling through NB, our technician found many of the front end components were worn.  The customer was aggressive with our staff, so for the purposes of transparency, the customer was then brought into the shop so that we could show them visually what the issue was with his truck.  We showed the customer where the cooler lines were interfering with the idler arm.  During this time the customer requested to the technician to move the lines out of the way, the lines then began to heavily leak, making the vehicle inoperable to drive.  We then provided the customer with a quote to complete the repair to the cooler lines only, which also involved discounting the work to appease the customer who was argumentative with our pricing.  The customer then approved the work for the cooler lines only to be completed, which was the only repair impeding him from leaving with the truck.  With the condition of the front end components, it would be impossible to properly perform a wheel alignment to the customers vehicle.  If we had done an alignment, and charged him for it, we would have been doing him a disservice.  We also gave the customer a quote to repair the rest of his vehicle safely, which he declined.

With regards to the comments on the front end repairs not being required, we are again, a licensed motor vehicle garage and a General Motors Franchise.  Our Technicians are trained professionals who work specifically on General Motors vehicles.  We support the findings and recommendations of our trained professionals, and not the recommendations or opinions of a non-franchised General Motors dealership or independent service garage.
