My father rented a room from this hotel. It was disgusting. We attempted resolution but were met with threats. Please read below to understand the situation. As of April 7th 2024 the only potential "communication" recieved in regards to this matter that has been recieved by my father privately was: 2 missed calls from a private number on April 4th one at 4:22pm and one at 4:29pm; no voice-mail to return the call or identifying who this may be. 2 missed calls from a private number on April 6th one at 1:22pm and one at 1:25pm, neither of these leaving a voice-mail identifying who the unknown caller was. Yesterday at 2:14pm both my father and I recieved an email addressed from Bower Hotels stating that they had submitted a complaint with the RCMP in regards to the "defamatory nature" of my post on social media and would be having the RCMP rectify this matter. The email also stated for me to remove my post on social media again reminding me that the police had been contacted. My father, a senior citizen had not spoken out in regards to the matter one way or another. However, upon receipt of this accusatory email in which they said they submitted a complaint against him, he did reply. His reply will remain private unless it becomes necessary to be shown publicly in which case, I would be happy to reveal all communication on our own end. RCMP have notified me that informing the public of my experience is not defamation, nor is posting photos of the experience. ************************** These are photos of Saint James Gate Hotel in downtown Moncton. They charged $440 for two nights stay in this room. They are a virtual hotel that takes payment two days before staying and has no staff to rectify any issues while there.
