    Miss for Hop Skip Jump. Booked my son’s sixth birthday a month and a half early September 26 for Monday November 13. Before the supervisor and I SIGNED the contract, I made sure it ?qualified for the 40% off discount when you have a party through the week. The lady I was dealing with said she would double check since it is the in lieu day for Remembrance Day. She came back and said I was all good. I paid my deposit and got my receipt which also told me what I had left to pay for the party. Fast forward a month later, I get a phone call stating that they will not honour their contract and I will have to pay full price for my party. They said November 13 in a “stat holiday?!?!”and therefore does not qualify for the discount. After a few phone calls I did get my deposit back but what about my son’s disappointment and the embarrassment of univiting all of our guest? If I had broke the contract I would have been out my $120. Why do they not have to lose out on anything? This is not the first time I have heard complaints about holding a party here and I will not be giving them my business ever again. I recommend not booking them for parties even if you cross your t’s. Apparently a signed contract is worth nothing to them. They were also surprised that I still had the paperwork and made it seem they were doing me a favour refunding my deposit. ?
