**** deposit given October 14, 2022 to confirm acceptance of quote for windows and doors installation - expected doors to arrive first and windows in the Spring of 2023. Sent a text asking for an update March 30, 2023 followed up with voice mails and a visit to his business address (home address) April and were able to leave a message with his wife which resulted in a text message response that he was looking for a crew and would contact the suppliers and contact us again that week. He did not contact us. After leaving more voice mails and again stopping by his address and leaving a note I followed up with an e-mail June 28. July 7th I texted advising that his failure to respond to messages gave the appearance he was avoiding us and unable to honour the contract and asked him to advise us when we could pick up our deposits and move on (no response). We continued to text and leave voice messages with no response so again stopped by his home July 11 and left a note (no-one was home) advising we would escalate if we did not hear from him and finally received a text message July 17 which stated he would contact us when he had an answer, declining to meet with us as we had requested to try to resolve the situation. July 18th we provided him with a summary of our concerns that the timeline originally discussed for the installation was long past and that his refusal to respond to us or meet with us had irreparably damaged the relationship and our confidence in his completing the work and asked for our deposits back.
