5 starsFor a first time author, Friesen's people were very helpful with their directions, support and with more speed than they promised in getting my book market ready. My son had used Friesen 6 years ago and found similar help. It isn't easy to help neophytes, I'm sure. But here we are - all set to try to figure out marketing in this day and age!

5 starsAs a first time author, I was very intimidated by the thought of publishing a book. The team at Friesen was absolutely outstanding! Every one of them, from first contact onward, treated me with respect and encouragement. Through her advice and suggestions, the Editor helped me stretch my creativity and write a story that is so much better than I would ever have accomplished on my own. The Publishing Specialist lead me through the design process, guided me through every step of the way and provide the much needed (at times) reassurance and encouragement when I felt overwhelmed and unsure of myself. The Promotion Specialist and her team created a wonderful website and bumped up my confidence that I was perfectly capable of managing it once it was in my hands.
Not once did I ever feel like I was 'just a client'. Every person I interacted with made me feel that like they were honestly doing everything they could to help me create the best story possible. And I am left with a book and illustrations that I am so very pleased and proud of because of their efforts.

5 starsFrom my first contact with a Friesen rep, through the exceptional team who advised and encouraged at every stage of development, to the day that my first novel became available, Friesen Press has exceeded my expectations. I rate them 10 out of 10 for professionalism, availability, knowledge and creative support. The artist who created the cover of my novel took my idea and created a thing of mystery and beauty. I get compliments every day for the cover. The editors they provided were outstanding. I am a much better writer because of them! My advisor for social media and promotions has also been exemplary - helpful on all aspects, helping me wade into something I had resisted, building my confidence and being a cheerleader when I needed one. And this fine group was led by an outstanding team leader - I feel I had their best people working with me. I also want to affirm that my voice and agency were honoured throughout.
