In 1997 Kimberley graduated with Honours from the Band Instrument Repair program at what is now Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing, Minnesota USA.
She has her Straubinger™ Pad Certification, and has studied advanced repair techniques from master flute builders, David and Joel Straubinger.
In 2018 Kim received her Muramatsu Authorization. She is also an authorized technician for Philipp Hammig, Gemeinhardt, Miyazawa, Sankyo and Trevor James.
Kim has also trained with renowned double reed technician John Peterson for Oboe and English Horn service and repairs.
