Our contract with this client was a quoted price, and not a Cost Plus contract. The client's request to have us provide receipts and proof of hours is not within the contract that was signed. The work outlined in the Contract was completed to industry standards, and the client was only charged what was in the contract price. Certain items of the project were not included in the contract price, as the client was wanting to handle with selecting these materials on their own.

Repeated attempts were made to discuss the invoices provided with the client to clarify any questions, but the client was either unwilling to discuss or not satisfied with the details provided. A final attempt was made to remediate any issues that the client had with deficiencies, however the client would continue to find issues that were not present at the point of a final walk-through.

There were numerous instances where the client was belligerent towards the contractor, both over text message and emails. Through many of these interactions that contractor attempted to uphold a professional relationship with the client. We also never sent the last remaining 10% of the contract owing in good faith to help remediate any further issues that she may have had. An Item that she is viewing as incomplete is a feature wall that she wanted painted which was never quoted and/or added on a cost plus basis. We made one attempt to have one of our painters come in and complete this wall for her, however she made note that the timing wasn't going to work and that she wanted to review invoices and receipts again for a job that was quoted with draws based upon completion.
