My daughter went in for cleaning at Just4Kids Aug 09 appt time 12.40pm This was recall appointment booked per the dental for 6-months recall. I went in and the dental person came and confirmed she is here for regular clean up. After the clean up is done once I pay for the total amount of CAD 217, they said they submitted for claim with ******* and they don’t cover for 6 months and only cover for 9 months. All the other dental I have gone and the dental me and wife go in Queensborough Dental Centre they do this check before we come in for the appt and we know what’s covered and what;s not. Or not covered for the time appt can be scheduled to time we are covered. Other issue is they said it’s a regular clean up and have done polishing and fluoride gel both not covered by *******. Also, they don’t let mom or dad to be present when clean up or tooth extraction. With we being billed for polishing and fluoride gel how we to know these services are done when parent is not present. Even at the time we had the tooth extraction when my daughter asked if mom can stay they refused. Yes during COVID its reasonable but now they should allow one parent to be present. Same day after work was done my wife called the dental of this situation, they advised they can not do anything and after about an hour they called back. They said they will talk to the main doctor and out of courtesy can reimburse but doctor will call next week Tuesday and advise final resolution.
