    I am filing a formal complaint against Encore Towing for towing my vehicle from a common strata property on January 5th, 2025, without proper authorization or notice, which resulted in an unjustified $504 charge.Summary of Incident:I mistakenly parked the vehicle in an assigned spot, an error for which I sincerely apologized. However, I pay for parking in the lot and expected management processes to be followed.The stratas property manager, *******, has confirmed in writing that Encore Towing is not authorized by the strata and that the towing was not requested or approved by management.This towing action directly violates our strata bylaws, which require prior management authorization and either a warning or an attempt to contact the vehicle owner before removing a vehicle.Key Issues:No Authorization: The towing was unauthorized by strata ************* Notice: I was not informed the vehicle had been towed, and only became aware nine days later when contacted by management.Unreasonable Fees: Encore Towing charged $504, including a $40 per day storage fee, without providing an opportunity to mitigate the costs by notifying the management. Supporting Evidence:Written confirmation from the property manager that strata did not authorize the towing.Relevant strata bylaws demonstrating that the towing violated established rules.Resolution Requested:I request that Encore Towing reimburse the full $504 charged for the unauthorized towing and associated storage fees.If this issue is not resolved, I am prepared to escalate the matter further through the ************************* (CRT). I kindly request that Encore Towing respond promptly to this complaint and take steps to prevent similar unauthorized actions in the future.Sincerely,******* *****
