    Took a boat in to have interior redone. Was told they work after first payment of $5000.00 dollars would get updates and pictures as the work progressed. Was told the cost would be between $18,000.00 and $ *********. First paid in September of 2023 was told it would be finished in the spring. Spring came and was told they had some labour issues and the boat would not be done for the summer. Next winter came along and paid additional monies to the amount of $22,000.00 Checked with them in December of 2024 and was told they needed more money Paid $5,000.00.Checked in in January and was told they had another project they were finishing and would get back on the boat soon. Checked back in march and was told they needed more money. Paid another $5,000.00 for a total of $32,000.00. Checked in again beginning of May and was told they would not work on boat until next winter. Got a message that said they would return about$1300.00 and I needed to come and pick up the interior parts and they would not finish the boat

    Before we start any Job, we explain our payment policy, it goes as follows:

    1. we take a deposit, how much is up to the customer.

    2. we work on the boat until that amount is used up

    3. we get another deposit and continue this process until the job is finished.

    4. we only do upholstery work in the winter months

    We took a deposit in fall of 2022. The boat was not brought to us that season as it was in storage and the storage people would not release it to us as we *** not own it. many phone calls to ***** to get us the boat, but it never came to ***

    In Fall of 2023, we finally got the boat. we worked on it, using up the $5000 deposit,  and worked past it by $7000. So to continue, we required the $7000 for work we did, plus another $5000 for the next deposit. sent him an invoice on november 22, 2023. Despite emails and phone calls, We did not recieve this money for 3 months (march 11 and 14, 2024) We went on to other jobs. by the time we received this money, it was spring and we do not do upholstery during the spring/summer. 

    in fall of 2024, we continued to work on his boat, sent him pictures, and another invoice for a deposit on december 2, 2024. we did not receive any money until december 24, 2024. once again, we went on to other jobs.

    We are ***e with booking our winter projects around a customer that does not want to follow our payment policies. All of our other customers follow this and their boats get ***e in a timely manner.

    to date, we have received $27,000, his bill thusfar is $23, ****** including taxes and we will be sending the difference back $1366.43 once the customer confirms an email to send it to.
