Over time, I have purchased several Boston Pizza gift cards. Most of them I used without incident. However, I have 5 left that I've been told have a zero balance (by waitresses, and by their gift card hotline). In one case, the person who answered the telephone told me that one of the cards had been used in Etobicoke in June. I have never been to Etobicoke and I was at work in Leamington that day. Another two times, I was "elevated" to someone who can help me, who turned out just to be a voicemail option. I left voicemails and got no response. All that the person who elevated the call would tell me is that the cards will not work.I did receive an email eventually from ***************** in response to my very first email while I was on vacation in *********** (early October). He told me that the cards had never been activated and that I need to go back to the store where they were purchased. I responded by telling him that I have receipts for each of the 5 cards indicating that they were indeed activated. It's been several weeks now and he has not responded. In my lifetime, I have had two other minor gift card incidents similar to this one and the company replaced the cards.
