    Last Friday night’s visit to Arms Pub was not only deeply disappointing but also quite unsettling. My husband, myself, and another couple decided to dine at Arms Pub, expecting a pleasant evening out. However, what we encountered was far from it. Upon our arrival, we noticed several empty tables and no visible queue. Naturally, we chose a table to sit at. However, we were promptly informed by a staff member that we needed to wait at the entrance. We obliged, despite noticing no other patrons waiting. As time passed, more customers arrived and began queuing behind us. Strikingly, the staff, who were admittedly short-handed, kept glancing our way but chose to ignore us. Seeking clarity, we politely inquired about the wait time, only to be met with a rude and unhelpful response, suggesting we’d be better off not waiting. Baffled but patient, we decided to step outside, only to witness the couple behind us being immediately seated. The most disconcerting part of the evening was when a staff member bluntly told us, “You are not welcome here.” This statement was not only shocking but also deeply hurtful. It was clear that the refusal of service was not due to the busy nature of the pub or the staff shortage.
