I recently stayed at Manning Park Resort, booking through a third-party platform that clearly described the resort as pet-friendly, with no mention of additional charges or restrictions. During my stay, I brought a pet to the premium cabin I reserved, assuming it was allowed based on the booking description. After checking out, I was surprised to see an additional $115 charge for undeclared pets. At no point during check-in was I informed of any restrictions or potential fees for bringing a pet. This policy was buried in the fine print, making it misleading for customers who rely on the pet-friendly label.Despite raising my concerns with the resort and providing evidence of the unclear policy on the booking platform, they refused to refund the charge. I feel this is an unfair practice, and the resort should be more transparent about its pet policies to avoid confusion and frustration for future guests.I hope this review helps other travelers make an informed decision before booking.

I booked a non-refundable, prepaid room at Manning Park Resort through ********, and unfortunately, I had to cancel due to a family wedding. When I cancelled, the ******** website indicated that the cancellation was free and that I would receive a refund. However, after waiting about 30 days for the refund, I was informed that a 30-day cancellation policy shows from nowhere, and now I am not eligible for a refund. If I knew Manning Park Resort couldn't issue a refund, I would go or let somebody else use the hotel instead of letting it go wasted. I think this is a scamming move. This cancellation policy was not visible on the website at the time of booking or during the cancellation process, which is misleading. I would have reconsidered my booking decision if I had known about this policy. I feel disappointed with this lack of transparency, which has led to confusion and frustration. Please make sure the cancellation policies are displayed to avoid issues like this in the future.
