I ordered a product and immediately cancelled within a few days, then my REMOVEDwas charged monthly beginning in November 2024 through July 2024. I contacted the merchant and requested a refund. They gave me the run around so I called REMOVEDand advised of what happened that I did not notice the charges on my statement until my July statement and REMOVEDwas able to issue 4 months of credit charge backs. After numerous communications with the merchant and REMOVED, the merchant provided only (4) monthly credits indicating that REMOVEDissued the credits so that cannot issue further credit. Having received the 4 credits from the merchant, REMOVEDthen reversed the charge backs and advised that the remaining credit have to be worked out with the merchant. The merchant will not issue further credits advising to work it out with REMOVED. These charges were fraudulent and unauthorized as the initial order was cancelled and acknowledged as being cancelled by the merchant.Business Response

Attached is our detailed response regarding the complaint filed by Mr. REMOVED.
We would like to clarify that we were unable to directly process the refund for the specific transaction in question because Mr. REMOVEDhad already filed a chargeback through REMOVED. Once a chargeback is initiated, the funds are held and the matter is handled by the payment processor, preventing us from issuing a separate refund on our end.
As much as we would like to immediately resolve this for the customer, we must wait for the outcome of the chargeback process. For transparency, we have attached the supporting evidence related to this case.
Please also note that we have already refunded all other transactions upon Mr. REMOVEDrequest prior to this complaint. The only transaction we are unable to refund directly is the one currently under chargeback review.
We hope this clarifies the situation, and we remain committed to working with the BBB and the customer toward a fair resolution.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: As shown in the screen shot of my account, the review process was completed by REMOVEDas they reversed the (4) charge back credits which will allow the merchant to process the credit refunds. As for the subsequent emails sent by the merchant following the initial order that was cancelled and acknowledged as cancelled in writing by the merchant, all emails were not received or went to junk mail unnoticed.

Dear BBB Representative,
We would like to clarify that we are unable to process a refund on our end because the customer has already initiated chargebacks through their bank. Once a chargeback is filed, the transaction and any potential refund are managed exclusively by the cardholders bank and credit card company. Our system no longer provides the option to issue a separate refund.
In this case, since the chargebacks were submitted and handled by REMOVEDvia REMOVED, all outcomes including reversals or credits are controlled by the bank. Any further inquiries regarding the status of the refund or chargeback resolution should be directed to American Express.
Attached, you will find screenshots from Stripe showing:
The chargeback/dispute status of the transactions
That our system no longer has a refund option available for these payments
That we attempted to process a refund, but it failed because a dispute had already been opened on the payment.
For these reasons, we are unable to process an additional refund from our side. Customers may contact their bank or credit card provider directly to inquire about the status of the chargeback.

Thank you for your follow-up regarding the complaint filed by Mr. REMOVED. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify our position and provide additional information.
As stated in our previous response, we were unable to process a refund directly for Mr. REMOVEDorder because he initiated a chargeback. Once a chargeback is filed, the transaction enters a formal dispute process managed by the issuing bank. During this period, the payment amount is withdrawn from our account and held by the bank until a final decision is made. Therefore, we currently have no ability to issue a separate refund while the chargeback remains under review.
We have already submitted all relevant documentation and evidence regarding this transaction to both Stripe (as part of the chargeback process) and to the BBB for your review. At this time, we are awaiting the final determination from the bank.
It is important to note that, prior to this complaint, we had already processed and completed refunds for all other transactions associated with Mr. REMOVEDat his request. The only remaining transaction in question is the one currently under chargeback investigation. Please see attached evidence.
If Mr. REMOVEDwould like to verify the current status of the chargeback, we recommend that he contact his issuing bank directly. The bank can confirm whether the disputed amount has been returned to him or remains under review, as all chargeback funds are managed exclusively through the bank during this process.
We remain fully committed to a fair and transparent resolution and will comply with the outcome once the chargeback process concludes.

We would like to clarify that we are still monitoring the chargeback status through our payment processor, Stripe. As of today, REMOVEDhas not yet finalized the dispute, and based on their latest update, the resolution is expected within the next seven (7) days.
Once Stripe officially finalizes the chargeback, we will act accordingly based on their resolution to ensure this matter is fully addressed.
Please note that all other transactions associated with REMOVEDwere already refunded prior to this complaint, and the only pending items are the ones currently under chargeback review.

Copies of the reversal on my statement appeared in my August statement and letters were received in September, all have been attached in these communications. The matter is not resolved until this merchant issues me the proper credit.

As stated in our previous correspondence, we were unable to process a direct refund for Mr. REMOVEDorder because a chargeback was initiated through his payment provider. Once a chargeback is filed, the transaction is managed solely by the cardholders bank and our payment processor, REMOVED

I requested a subscription to the product but when I saw what it actually was and that to use the exercises, I had to download massive files somewhere, I immediately emailed that I wanted to cancel the subscription.I received an email back that the subscription had been cancelled but they continued to bill my credit card $47.31 every month from May 2023 to March 2024.My email of May 17 2023 said:I want to cancel this subscription I don't how this even happened but I want this canceled.They claim they thought I was only cancelling the cheapest part of a subscription and the more expensive piece continued to be billed. My wife pays the bills and we use electronic statements so we just noticed this continuing charge on the Feb 2024 statement. I have not accessed their website or used this subscription in any way between May 2023 and Feb 2024.and was quite clear in May 2023 that I wanted the whole thing cancelled. I am rejecting this response because:They buried the information about purchasing this extra service in some fine print. If you look at all of the BBB complaints for this REMOVEDcompany, you will see that overwhelmingly the complaints are from people who never ordered any ongoing service and did not realize that a subscription was buried in the terms and conditions and would cost more money than a one time purchase of a DVD for $4.95. That is REMOVED.
We will be reaching out to the REMOVEDauthorities because this is a REMOVEDbusiness practice just meant to get someone's credit card information (by tricking them into buying one CD and burying this "membership" in some fine print so they can collect funds using the credit card.
My contact with them was very clear: They purposefully narrowed my request NOT to include the most expensive portion of this REMOVED"subscription".
No one should be opted into an almost $50 a month purchase by some fine print. If it was not clear what I wanted cancelled, they should have asked, not assumed. I NEVER USED THIS SUBSCRIPTION after May 17 2023 when I discovered it was going to require me to download massive files. I immediately asked them to cancel it.
I want all of my money returned - $471.30. Otherwise, we will be notifying the REMOVEDand the police.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID REMOVED, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. They refunded 10 months of these REMOVEDcharges. As long as those credits are fully processed on my credit card and I retain those funds after closing this complaint - and no more charges are made against my credit card by this company, the complaint can be considered closed.

I received an email on 12/14/2023 offering 2 "FREE" DVDs, 7 Best Daily Habits for a Healthy Happy Back and Top 10 Morning Movements to Loosen up Your Joints - (Just pay shipping and handling of $5.95). I've gotten offers like this in the past from other vendors, used them and never had a problem. I paid the $5.95 with REMOVEDand received the DVDs rather quickly, in a few days. With the holidays and such, I never had the time to even sit and view them, however, on 12/28/2023, I received an email from REMOVEDthat I had paid $47.31 as a "Recurring Payment". I immediately called the 888 phone to get it cleared up but only met with an automated voice asking me to leave a message, which I did. From there, I contacted their Support line and all of my interaction with them, multiple back and forth emails, etc. is in the uploaded document. What really gets me, is that I was very clear about my desire to cancel any transaction with them and have my money refunded! But it all falls on deaf ears. They keep trying to offer more "Free Bonuses" and cheaper monthly fees. I'm not sure if they are angling to stall me for the 14 days so they can say what, I missed the cancellation window? It has left me wondering about the honesty of my fellow men. I know, too extreme. Anyway, I've read other complaints on your site and they all sound the same.
