    We had a furnace issue Nov 2024, After calling Acorn Plumbing. This was on a Friday and they promised to come on the Monday. We got a call on Monday and got an excuse saying he would be there Tuesday. This happened several times. There technician ***** arrived and after a couple of hours said we needed a part. After we got this part the existing problem was still there, which was the motor was not running when called for by the thermostat. More trouble shooting was involved and nother part was suggested. This one had to be ordered and five days late. Needless to say that didn't change things either. From the first visit we were surprised at the bill being so high as it was mainly labour as I had bought the part. As we were suspicious of the hourly rate we decided to keep track of arrival and departure times. This we did and had to argue bill which always arrived minutes after the tech left. We did get a reduced bill but not a great experience.While this problem was still not diagnosed the tech ***** it seemed did not come back for several days. At least four days at a time. I know that he was not scheduling his days. He'd say he'd be back the next day, which was never the case.The last time the tech arrived then left with no luck. As usual the invoice was sent by email again minutes after he left and he had charged us for 1 and 3/4 hours longer than he was here.On the phone we again explaining the situation and they said they would have to check their GPS on that vehicle.Needless to say we got the 1 and 3/4 hours taken off. Long story short, we never did get it fixed. After 29 days of us huddled in one room with a space heater, enough was enough. They said our furnace was old at 13 years old and needed another one.We cut ties with Acorn and I looked at the issue myself. After checking out a few things I found the issue where power was coming in to a sequencer but not out. $90 part and 15 mts and solved. So over charged. Paid $1214.06 and not fixed after 29 days.

    I recently had Acorn come to do some plumbing repairs at our home. ****, the plumber explained what was needed, approx. cost, and found the part and installed it the same day. The discount for a first time customer was unexpected surprise. Cost was very reasonable and excellent service. I would strongly recommend Acorn and **** to anyone.
